If any of you guys are interested, I play DBAOL quite a lot and we are always looking for new players. If you fancy joining in then this is where you need to go…

A few of us from my old club used to use DBAOL to try out army structures and deploymnents. It was kinda fun.

What rule version and lists are they using now?

This needs to be converted to an iOS App or online playable version (aka HTML5).

Elmo barely accesses anything "Windows" these days.

The rules version is old and too many cheats were never fixed in DBAOL.

As far as I know, it's still version 1.1. There was some talk on Fanaticus about updating it, but I'm not sure where that stands currently. I, for one, would love to see an Android version.

1.2 I believe. Perhaps with their own interpretations as well. I always had fun with it.

DBAOL for iOS or web online would be wonderful.

I imagine this would help draw newcomers to the ruleset.

Up to dated DBA on line, even if it were 2.2 would be great. To bad those guys could not wait a few months for 2 to get published, instead of taking unpublished version as the source.

Ye it's the old version. I tried to get the source code and rights but to no avail. They said the right things about the code, but nothing came of it, other than them making it free (which is not a bad thing).

I had to work out what DBAOL (debowel ?) was ….

Anyone get this working in Wine? WineHQ appdb only has one negative review which mirrors my experience.

If this is Greek to you, don't worry about it ;)

Looks like an emulator…

I run DBAOL (DBA Online :-) on my Mac using Boot Camp if that helps.

I tried a few years ago but moving troops was slow and I found myself waiting ages for the other players to move. Perhaps that has improved with time?

Somebody who's computer and wargame knowledgeable should work with Phil Barker and get the rights to 3.0 in order to computerizing it.

I have downloaded this on to a pc and laptop, yesterday and today.
When I open it, I get the 'Add New Player' which does not allow the cursor to show.
And locks up the computer/s.

I then have to restart the computer/s and uninstall.

Any ideas?
