Following on from the Battle at the Farm (http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=263745) we've played the second game of our 40K Rogue Trader mini-campaign, and the battle report is on the blog at link

As always thanks for looking!

Cheers

Nice to see a Guard unit using a Predator again!

Good to see that RT is alive and well after 25 years.

Nice report and minis! I love seeing the old orks, dreads, and guard minis, and it makes me fondly recollect my human bandits warband called the doom blades. Good stuff!

Another cool old-school battle report. Keep 'em coming!

One of these days I need to repaint my own eggs-on-legs. Nice!

Cool stuff, thanks for posting.

Are you familiar with the published follow-up scenario to the Battle at the Farm, "Skirmish on Rynn's World"? It appeared in a White Dwarf just after the release of Rogue Trader, I think issue 96 or 97 (don't have my WDs to hand right now to check).

love those minis! and still love RT

Thanks guys!

Parmenion, thanks for the tip. According to the online index, we're looking for WD 94, which isn't currently in my collection… going to keep an eye out for that one!

94 eh? I was close then. grin

I might have a spare I can give you… as well as my own copies of the mags, I've got a folder full of cuttings that I inherited from a friend many years ago. I think that scenario might be amongst those articles. If so, I'll be happy to mail it to you.

It's another tactical marines vs ork boyz set-up, based on trying to blow up an underpass before unlimited hordes of orks pile through into the city.

Nice report

Wasn't the follow up scenerio to battle at the Farm called Jade Berry hill? Have you got the Book of the Astrominca? It's got an army list for the ork drop legion used in the Ryan's world campaign including a note that the Dark Angels were sent as the imperial relif force.

I remember it was called "Skirmish on Rynn's World" on the mag cover, but it was set at Jadeberry Hill. That may have been the official title.
It's got an army list for the ork drop legion used in the Ryan's world campaign including a note that the Dark Angels were sent as the imperial relif force.
The article in WD96 expands on that, saying how the Dark Angels' Ravenwing relieved the Crimson Fists – back when the Ravenwing were all mounted on jetbikes.

Parmenion – we would love to see the old follow up scenario! Blowing up an overpass sounds like fun…

Coolgame well done . The way 40k was supposed to be .

Ivan DBA16 Apr 2012 7:25 a.m. PST

Awesome. Inspired by you first battle report, I've started putting together my own set of figures for "The Battle at the Farm," but in 15mm using now oop MJ/The Scene figs.

Thanks Parm!

You can drop me an email at dgewen_at_hotmail_dot_com for my address… are you going to be at Salute this Saturday? If so we could potentially meet up…

Cheers

Aleays nice to see RT projects no matter what scale. Will be following your project and reports

Dragon Gunner17 Apr 2012 2:02 p.m. PST

RT was cool even if the rules were a little wonky. The scenarios inspired so much imagination back then. Its to bad 40K has become such a tournament oriented buying nightmare.
