I've got a couple of those in my future projects box as well, although I was thinking "spacecraft parts" for mine.

If you like Milliput, I suggest you also try out Magicsculpt at some point. It's got many of the same properties, but I find it's easier to work with, has a longer shelf life, and costs less, esepcially in large quantities.

magicsculp.com

Sadly, it generally requires mail order to get ahold of. Unlike Milliput, it's not found in many stores.

What did you use for the base? (already tearing apart the kids tape containers)

Soldat15 Apr 2012 5:58 a.m. PST

I'm totally stealing this idea.

Sergeant Crunch15 Apr 2012 6:22 a.m. PST

The base is thin "craft" wood from Michael's. It's 6 inches square IIRC.

Chief, this is the first time I've worked with Milliput. The Hobby Lobby 40% off online coupon dropped the price by about $5.50 USD I'll give Magicsculp a try sometime.

Soldat, steal away!

you throw the gum away?

I am always looking at stuff thinking hmm what can that be. drives my wife nuts.

Sergeant Crunch15 Apr 2012 4:20 p.m. PST

Nah, found the containers after the kids were done with the gum.
