I'm working on a naval game in 1/600 scale but am disappointed to find the Airfix kit of the Narvik Class Destroyer isn't currently available. Does anyone know of any other manufacturer who produces models of these ships? Waterline would be ideal, but I am willing to work with full hull models providing they're plastic. Thanks. |

I don't recall seeing one, but that doesn't mean someone doesn't make it, or have it in a combined vessel kit. There may possibly be a resin model, but those tend to be expensive. I'd recommend looking for 1/700th scale Narviks, if you can't find any in the larger size, easily. Pit-Road, or Tamiya may have produced one. If you do find one, please post back here as well, since I could use one, or more of the Z-class DDs for Coastal Forces actions. I'm interested in Z-1 – Z-37. |

you could try PT dockyard and give a shout out to scale creep they might at least point you in the right direction |

Tons of 1/700th scale ones on eBay, for very reasonable prices: auction Both main models too, e.g. the twin-gun turret on the foredeck, as well as the one with all single guns as well. |

The Airfix one was re-released a few years back in a 4-pack with the Hotspur, Tribal and Campbeltown models. They were fairly easy to get hold of the last time I needed one (I have 6 at the moment) |

Matchbox made one in 1/700 also. The Airfix ones should still be lingering around. |

I've been looking round the net. The Matchbox one is currently available in a Revell box, and Tamiya have two for sale in the one box. They are 1/700 however, about an inch shorter than 1/600. Stronghold Miniatures have 1/600 scale Narviks listed in their catalogue, but unfortunately they're "TBA". A quick email earlier today resulted in a reply saying Airfix or Ebay would be a better option than waiting for them. I must say, if everything listed in that catalogue becomes available, all the prayers of coastal forces gamers will be answered. |

That would be nice, but don't hold your breath, since I've been waiting years for that. Wish someone would pick up the molds, or they would put them back into production. Still, between Skytrex and PT Dockyard, you should be able to get most of what you need in 1/600th naval minis, excepting some of the destroyers, and other large craft. |

i have seen a few 3mm-1600 items on the Stonghold site over the years. So far none are available that I have seen . I wouldn't hold my breath either. Robert My 1/600 Miniature Aircraft Wagaming Yahoo Group link |
