Thought you might enjoy these pictures from a recent game using one our local group's colourful collection

Rules used were Shako.

All worked very well. Not my stuff, however – so I'm afraid I don't know what make the figures are …

The Mexicans have a hard time of it!

The figures look like Eureka MAW figures. I have a bunch of these painted up. They are nice figures and a blast to paint up.

Was this any particular battle?

I realy love this conflict. Such beautiful uniforms and lots of great personalities that you can see later in life during ACW.

Yes, Chris – that's exactly what they are (just took a flick over to the Eureka site) … and if prodded I would indeed have said 18mm!

The game was following a worked out scenario rather than just a pick up – so is probably historically based (but I don't have enough background to say which). I'll try to find out some more and post again.

This was one of those games where I'm a guest at someone else's party (but I wanted to share the photos for the reasons you give …)..

Thanks

Have not played for a while, but under the rules we used the Mexicans had a very hard time of it

Nice looking game

Looking at the layout, I wonder if this isn't based on the Battle of Molina Del Ray. Though with that much Mexican Cavalry I wonder if it isn't based on Churubusco, I wonder if the top pictures is supposed to have the convent in the back ground.

This makes me want to pull my Eureka figures out and have another go at it.

Thanks – I will pass the comment on to Richard who set up the game – he'll be pleased.

Everyone seems to like the figures, Mike – nice job.

This is of great interest to me, and very timely. Thanks.

15mm? Now that's a good possibility for me.

18mm, though … (despite my original thread title grin) link

Very nice … and as Spooner6 says, more too it than just the splendid uniforms …
