MAJIC Miniatures is in Suspended Animation and has ceased trading!

From the MAJIC Miniatures website:

majicminiatures.com

<<MAJIC MINIATURES HAS CEASED TRADING
FOR THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE

Sadly I must announce that MAJIC Miniatures has ceased trading. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers who have supported us over the last four years, we couldn't have done it without you.

However due to changes in circumstances it is not possible to continue the day-to-day operations of the business and regretably it is being moth-balled for the forseeable future.

If circumstances change at some point in the future, we will resume production and develop both our existing and new ranges. At this time we have no intention of selling the business on or closing down completely, but we will not be selling any more product until such time as we re-open for business.

The circumstances refered to above are more to do with the increasingly limited availability of time than anything else. When I started MAJIC Miniatures I was working 12 hour days with no problems, distractions or responsibilities.

However the arrival of my first child in 2010 and other commitments (including a second unrelated business) have stretched me to breaking point and something has got to give, before I am permanently broken.

Sadly MAJIC Miniatures drew the short straw!

As I have said on the website, it is not my intention that MAJIC Miniatures will be permanently closed, or sold on. However it will not sell any product directly for the forseeable future. This does leave the possibility of licensing the ranges and products to a third-party if circumstances do not change in the forseeable future.

I hope this makes the situation clear, as always people are free to contact me if they have specific questions or concerns and I will do my best to help.

Once again thanks to everyone who has supported us, purchased product or encouraged us. It has been a lot of fun and hopefully this is not the end only a temporary pause.

With best wishes,

Oliver

Oh no, that is a bummer.
But as you say, family first.
Having met you, your wife and your daughter I hope that things settle down and life becomes less stress, you all seemed very nice indeed.

I apologize for not having been one of those supporting, but if it is any consolation, I'm kicking myself for missing out.

As a father and grandfather, I concur with your decision, especially the part about leaving the door open for your return. You should get the knack quicker than you think, and the itch even faster.

Watching and hoping,
Doug
