Hi,

This, for now anyway, will be the last in the series of Agincourt vignettes.

As usual there are many more pics and aa bit of historical background on the characters portrayed on my blog, La journee:

Although the scene is a little less gung-ho than A Henry! A Henry! A Saint George!

And A Oxford! A Oxford!

I think that in many ways it is the most successfull of all three pieces, which, sadly, are now destined to be put away until 2015!! It's a much more human scene, in the foreground Lord Camoys pulls rank on Sir Thomas Erpingham whilst in the background Lord Camoys banner bearer discusses their chances against such a mighty French army on that fatefull day. It's possible to imagine the chatter, "Aye! It's allright for those posh gits, they will be ransomed for sure whilst we shall have our throats cut" (Or maybe i should keep taking the pills :) ).

Hope you enjoyed this little foray into the Battle of Agincourt?

Darrell.

Beautifully painted and arranged. I love the feel of the composition. Best, Dean

on your banner bearers, how do you make the support pole that runs parallel to the flag poll? none of mine have them, but i've seen enough people do it to realize that my figures are wrong!

Firstly, thanks very much for all your encouraging words guys.

Funny you should ask that. i've just done a step-by-step on Saxon Dog's site- one of the producers of the lovely new range of Scottish Wars of Independence 28mm mini's- which can be seen here:

Hope that helps? Just let me know if you have any more questions, yeah?

Darrell.

Very well done. I like these very much.

Good luck with the Claymore Casting figures and I hope to see your handy work soon.

(and to think that I once dismissed this period as merely tins of sardines fighting amongst themselves – not now)

As aye,

Ah, Claymore Castings is a company run by David Imrie and Andrew Taylor- i'm not invloved except for cheering from the sidelines :O)

I'll certainly be painting a hell of a lot of them up though!!
