Inspired by this really cool arena ( TMP link ) , I ask
What is your preferred minis size/scale for gladiatorial combat? 6mm – How else can I recreate naval battles in the flooded Colosseum? 10mm 15mm 25/28mm 54mm Other ( specify ) |

25/28mm. I have too many gladiators and animals in this scale to change now. |

I've finally settled on 54mm so now in the process of selling off my 28mm :) |

28mm – although I supposed 54mm would look great too. That said, I have a bunch of 28mm Crusader figs already. Dean |

25/28mm – If I am only going to have a couple of minis on the table for the battle, I want them to be sufficiently detailed that I couldn't see going smaller than 25mm. I suppose 54mm would work, but then my arena would be huge. |

I use 15s just from a storage space perspective. But I do like 28s and might just acquire some someday. |

Does anyone make 54mm (or larger) gladiators, etc? For man-to-man I would imagine that could be spectacular. |

25/28mm is just to me the best size to game this in period/genre. My reasons are in terms of cost unless you want to have a full blown arena with all the fans come to watch this is a very affordable game to do. It is also a practical size for using casualty figures. Of course, your mileage may vary. |

I have a few 25/28mm, so I'll probably stick with that, as there's a nice variety of them available. Doug |

I have a large collection of pre-painted, German-made, plastic, 75mm Glads.

15mm for sake of space and the fact that I rarely have more than a few dimes to rub together |

@darthfozzywig – Italeri and Pegasus do 54mm plastics; Alpha do 54mm metals (now owned by somebody else but I can't remember who off the top of my head). Various other manufacturers do 54mm scale metal kits but these can be quite expensive. |

90mm
But I've mostly played in 1:12/Action Figure size. My 'travel set' is 15mm. |

Do not have any yet. I keep looking at 15mm as thats my main size of figures but 25/28s tempt me as do 54s

I've been planning on using the Papo Mutants for fantasy style gladiator combat using the Atomic Super Humans rules. I think they stand about 4" tall. link pages 106-107 -Ken Radioactive Press |

28mm. I have tons of gladiators, slaves, civilians, and predators in that scale. |
