A write up from the game I provided at CincyCon. 3rd Platoon, C Company, 2-2113 Marines always got the raw end of the stick. Posted to what was supposed to be a cushy job guarding the sector capital, they were left holding the bag when a massive Zhodani invasion force dropped on Regina in the opening weeks of the Fifth Frontier War. The regiment was spread thin covering the approaches to the Fleet Marine landing field on the southern continent. The luckless jarheads of third platoon were smack in the path of the Zhodani spearhead that aimed to capture the field and cut the Marines off from escape. more at; link |

Thanks a lot for posting this! I completely missed it at the show (like most of the late games). I really like your use of the ground cloth with terrain under it. Very effective. The battle was intense! I loved reading it. Those meson strikes saved the Marines rear end! I really need to get into one of your games when I can. Just too cool!
 Thanks, John |

John, LOL! You were sitting two tables away most of the time we were playing! (Though I'm sure you were either busy managing the con or enjoying a moment of peace.) Actually, I was not thrilled with the hills under the cloth effect. As you may expect, areas of cloth were not supported by the substructure and some of the figures tumbled about on the slopes. Still, it was a fun game. Every time I run this scenario, it ends up much closer than you'd think from looking at the raw odds. I always chuckle watching salvoes of ATGM get swatted aside by the point defense systems on the hi-tech AFV's. The Zhodani company commander was getting frustrated! The warbots did a great job as a recon screen for the Zhodani squads. This was the first opportunity to use my GZG vehicle models and 'warbots' with the repainted RAFM 15mm infantry figures. The GZG figures are great and really capture the look and feel I've come to associate with Traveller. For those that could not attend, CincyCon was a great show. I'm looking forward to next year. |

Nice looking table. Wish I could have attended, but Cold Wars beckoned. Too bad, I would have loved to fry me some Zhodani! |

Looks like a fun game. Were you using Striker rules, or something else? |

It was Tomorrow's War, with a fair number of modifications (mostly to weapons and armor) to capture the feel of the Traveller setting. The proliferation of PGMP and FGMP make for a very bloody game! |

Great report, I really like your terrain. I'm very sorry I missed Cincycon this year. |

Nicely done! I'm sorry I missed this AAR earlier. It looks like you modified some of the BEVO 2S6s for vehicles? |

Sounds terrific. I would love to see how you incorporated plasma guns in Tomorrow's War. (PGMP FGMP) |

I should check this thread more often! Lobsterback – no Bevo stuff, this was a 15mm game. Vehicles are GZG, Rebel Miniatures and converted Roco minitank Gepard kit. Captain Beefheart, I did a quick write on on energy weapons on the bog. You can find it here; link |

Hey G Dog: Take 2 works fine and boy, am I glad it does. That was a great post along with the stuff here. TW seemed to be getting a bad rep because of the way people reacted to the differences in troop quality. I'm sue many people will be glad to hear that you can have some real fun with that system. Nicely done indeed and also, a big thanks or the vehicle comparisons on the link. |
