A few weeks ago I started a thread asking about Mr. Paul Darnell. I had placed an order on Jan 18, 2012 to purchase models that were supposedly already made. I have bought a few models from Mr. Darnell previously and was very satisfied with his service.

Unfortunately, weeks went by and no amount of correspondence could elicit a reply from Mr. Darnell. I finally had to resort to Paypal disputes.

Well, in fairness to Mr. Darnell, I am pleased to report that I received my models yesterday, March 24 th.

Mr. Darnell is an extremely talented model maker. I would happily purchase several more models from him if I knew, in advance, that there would be no complications.

I am considering another order. It is up to you, to decide for yourself, if it is worth it or not.

As I understand it Paul has given up model making to earn his living as an artist. That may have changed by now as it's some months since I read about this change in direction.

To be fair you are ordering a custom made product. From what I have seen of Paul's work it's not coming from a factory. I don't think that two months in a unreasonable time to wait for a hand built model.

Still a email update would have helped the situation.

I have been trying to contact Paul Darnell, who is building me a Dacian / Roman battlefield. I am suppose to get it this week.

Does anyone know where Paul is these days? His telephone numbers have been changed and I need to organise everything. He is not responding to his emails.

Any help to getting Paul to know I am looking for him would be really appreciated. I can be reached by my email: spepa@pop-pepa.com

Thanks a lot.
Steve

Someone posted a cut and paste from a blog somewhere here on tmp, that he was now going into artistry full time in part with an artistric group or gallery.. if you can track down that post and the groups contact, I suspect Mr Darnell may wish to resolve the issue sharpish before his "group" discover the historic issues of not providing what he has paid for and dissapearing on people.

Never met the chap, though have read his touching history magazines, but all I have ever been told about the guy, is, he does nice scenery, but never get involved with him regarding money. I hope it is all a big miss understanding and you get your cash back or your ordered goods. You might find that openning a paypal dispute, once the agreed delivery time as elepased may prompt a responce as per the original poster, if you paid by that method.

Alternatively you could use; link

Its is effectively a fast track, small claims court process. And VERY effective.

Good luck.
