Does TMP need a smartphone APP? I would love it if there were one! Would find it very useful at work, restaurants, the DMV, etc. I would be willing to purchase it from the APP store or here on TMP. |

Last time I checked, the RSS feeds were not working. If they were up to date, you could use something like Flipboard. I thought about making an iOS app but didn't see how I could have a decent ROI; that is, even assuming Bill was willing to a split of the App profits. |

Yeah, not sure where the money or value is. Or even utility, really. |

It would be of limited utiity to me also, since I don't have a smartphome, and don't know what an APP is. At least it's not a "Should
?" Poll. This is one of those questions where it is totally pointless to poll the Peanut Gallery. If only 5% of us voted "YES", and Dear Editor found it useful, he should go ahead with it. He's the only one who should have a real say in the matter. |

A TMP App would be a welcome addition. |

How would a Smartphone APP be different to/better than logging in direct via the 'net ? Really – I do that and usually experience no problems. |

Imagine a different interface. Maybe how blogs appear on phones. |

Blogs on my 'Droid look like the other web sites. |

Blogs on my 'Droid look like the other web sites. Not on mine. They appear with the title and then a caption of the each post, which you can select to read the entire post. Everything fits perfectly on the screen. |

I have a smart phone now so I will need an app |

Smartphone Apps are so 21st Century. And there's a lot of resistance to that around here. |

An app could make browsing easier to read if it optimized the display for a smartphone. However, TMP is displayed in the Safari browser now on iPhones with full functionality, so I wouldn't say it was a necessity. Rick |

What, Safari on your iPhone and a bookmark for TMP isn't sufficient? Works for me. |
David Manley | 25 Mar 2012 11:24 a.m. PST |
I'd find it useful as the browser on my smartphone brings TMP up in microtype and there doesn't seem to be a way of changing it. |

The browser on the 'Droid also brings it up in microtype, however it is a simple matter to expand it. |

Works fine on my Tab in the browser. No app needed. Doug |

The format of this site is such I don't think I need it as an app on my iPhone or iPad. This is one of the few sites that work well in a browser on my smart phone and I'm not thinking I "need" and app for it. At least as I use it and view it. |

Eh
First of all, whenever I go to TMP with my iPhone, I simply go straight to the URL and see it just as I do here (Albeit on a much tinier screen). I've even posted comments from my iPhone. And second of all, there is very little on TMP that is so earth-shattering that it can't wait till I get to my computer. I would opt out. |
Tommy20 | 26 Mar 2012 9:41 a.m. PST |
No need. Works just fine via Safari. |
Dasher | 31 Mar 2012 11:06 p.m. PST |
I would buy and use a TMP app for my iPhone. |

TMP works fine on droid browsers. Still a TMP droid app would suit me as I don't use the mobile browser that much! |

Don't have a smartphone so no need for me. |
