YouTube link The masses are revolting. I'd rather have called 'dark ages' 'more like land of the free' And the Romans where getting a hard time from the arabs also- so it was only dark for the Romans and people who go on about latin- there I go bring class into all again etc, Maybe Dark Ages on it's own my be more simple ;). |

The practical purpose for splitting off the Dark Ages as a separate board would be for people who wished only to look at Dark Ages posts or Ancients posts without having to look through the other. Are there any such people? Druzhina sites of wargaming interest |

As debated on another topic Dr Mark 'Early Medievakl' is just as nonsensical as 'Dark Age' Modern is completely nonsensical
are we now post modern? Do we have more in common with Thomas Hobbes than he did with Erasmus? Are we now post modern? Dark Age refers to the general decline of levels of civilization in Western Europe (another iffy category) and as such it makes good sense. Much learrning was lost, population levels collapsed Law moved from a thing of the state to personal obligation money disappeared (comparatively) and rationalism was trounced by primitive , fundamentalist religious belief. So Dark indeed! Roy |
