I didn't have to prove prior use – you cannot copyright Gun Metal or Blood Red – it is as simple as that…

Hopefully all those who whinged about how they were going to be forced to buy WD for the list can now swallow hard and back down…

Well, if GW sent a C&D to you based on an assertion of COPYRIGHT (as opposed to trademark) in the names "Blood Red" and "Gun Metal"[sic] then they are truly retarded, and have no understanding of the fundamental differences between these two IP concepts.

Lovejoy – Many thanks for the link to the new/old names.

It will cost you $536 USD before tax to get complete set.

That is just to much for small bottles of paint.

I will get my paint from somewhere else.

I use mostly Vallejo now. It would cost about $60 USD less to get that many Vallejo paints, not a huge difference. Just sayin…

I really like the GW Foundation paints. I will give the new paints a try.

I will only use them as I need replacements for what I am running out of. I am a paint Bleeped text – use anything from anyone, as long as I can get it or the price is right.

BTW – the best washes ever made in my opiunion are the old Citadel ones still made by Coat D'Arms – Chestnut wash and Flesh wash. Awesome.

The first post here claims failure, yet I'd say thats relative.

Saw the new line of paints at a local store, and they seem interesting. I seriously doubt there will be a major issue with them, and with an increase in the number available, there are more options for all types, plus small new ranges of glaze and texture paints as well.

I've picked up some duplicates of some of my favorites from the current line to be able to finish a few projects, but it seems wasteful in time and energy to be complaining over the change.

GW seems to be moving to a much faster buzz cycle. New paint line? Two weeks notice. New Empire models for WFB? Two weeks.

Talk about catering to, and depending on, the impulse buyers.
