Capitan minis has released some pretty nice looking nautical minis in 18mm scale. These go with their Master and Commander: Close Quarters rules for boarding actions. Does anyone know if there are any good ship models that would match the scale?

Laserdreamworks.com has 3 ship models but was looking for something a little more detailed

I love the shot of Revell's 1/96th scale Constitution. I haven't cut mine down to the waterline, but i did seal the hull and ballast her so she can sail. Heller's 1/100 scale HMS Victory would work as well. Those two are about as detailed as you'll get.

Thoroughbred makes some nice ships and boats too, for the War of 1812.

Old Glory has some vessels, which might work for you.

Sailpower also has a very nice range of ships as well. They aren't listed under the manufacturers here on TMP, but you can find photos of them, and more info about their rules by doing a search on 15mm AND Sailpower.

All produce their vessels in resin.

If checking out 15mm Old Glory you will also find Blue Moon ships in 15/18mm pirate category.

Second Thoroughbred's 1812 ships. Outstanding pieces of work.

When I go to Sailpower's site (Captain's Blog), there is an attempt to attack my computer with a virus, fortunately blocked by Norton – I would recommend not going to it.

I've got a 15mm/18mm scale Black Pearl ship for sale, which could also double as Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge, or an armed merchant, if desired – just need to swap out the flags.

Shown below, is the superb wooden hull surface detailing, with 15mm Peter Pig pirates on deck, individually based on small metal washers, for scale comparison:

She has 18 guns, but ports for six more on deck, which match up perfectly with the small cannons from Peter Pig's 15mm Pirates range, should ye decide to upgun her, to give her 24. Plenty of room around the rails, for adding swivels as well, in order to give her even more firepower.

The deck is large enough for a decent sized boarding action to be fought on board, against other pirate vessels, and/or larger naval warships:

$20 USD, plus shipping at cost, for a seaworthy ship ready to set sail on the azure seas o' de Caribbean. Same, for the Chinese Junk, shown below, also with Peter Pig 15mm pirates on deck:

Hi all,

The virus issue should be resolved. According to my webmaster the hosting service we used was infected with malware. The site has been reloaded and should be clean. Do PM me right away if you ever have such an issue. I assure you I'm not a spambot and I produce all my kits locally in Dublin Ohio USA!

My 15MM ships are scaled to about 1/96th so they should work fine for 18MM
