Wow, those are tiny.

Andrew Walters15 Mar 2012 8:20 a.m. PST

You could mount them above the counters for, say, Federation Commander.

I presume these are 3D printed? Available?

Glad to see that you got those set up. Was looking at your Shapeways store. You list some models as "fleet scale". What scale are those, 1/7000?

Thanks,

Al

What scale are those, 1/7000[\quote]

No, everything I have listed under 'Fleet'scale is in the 1:24000. After many discussions with the scale experts, I will be removong the 'Fleet scale' tag from all my miniatures and add the scale to the minis name.

Some updates to old designs and placed them into squadrons of four. Will get into updating the opponents soon.

Shorr Khan04 Oct 2015 8:48 p.m. PST

I cannot find these on Shapeways any more. Can you post a current link?

jimklein196604 Oct 2015 8:50 p.m. PST

Yes please. All the previois links are dead

Of course, they say '1/20000', not '1/24000.'

working up an appropriate battleship. Should have it this week. And again, all in 20K scale

I keep coming back thinking 'he really should take six designs EACH of Federals and their arch-enemies, mark the bases, fore and aft, with letters in descending size: Q K B N R P…'

Okay, maybe the R should be a base. ;->=

Now, Sean, you KNOW I've plenty of ships to paint.

Especially if I ever ask Kirk about a 'chess set.' ;->=

Beautiful ship designs! Wow, really love these.

I'm still a bit confused here in terms of scale and your above comment. Your shop shows some ships listed as 1/7000 scale and some listed as 1/24000 scale. Do you offer these in two different scales?

Can't speak for Kirk, but I will point out his id has been quiet for quite awhile and you've resurrected a five month old thread, so you MAY not be hearing an answer.

I don't recall: can you submit questions via Shapeways?

Oh, you DO know there's a sale limited to Strong and Flexible through tomorrow… ;->=

Doug

Bravo Six18 Jun 2016 8:11 p.m. PST

Thanks Doug, yes I'm aware of the sale. :)

I had a feeling that resurrecting this old thread MAY not garner a response, and his ID has the dreaded Zzzzz's attached, but I figured it was worth a shot.

I don't think you CAN submit questions to sellers via Shapeways, but I could be wrong. Hopefully someone here knows whether or not that's correct.

If you have an account with Shapeways you can send a message to a creator, I did recently with javelin98.

TheBeast Supporting Member of TMP19 Jun 2016 12:25 p.m. PST

Thanks, Bro Jim!

I've ordered in the long ago, but SO long ago I'm not sure of what's available.

Doug

Bravo Six19 Jun 2016 1:31 p.m. PST

Yeah, I've been away from Shapeways for a few years now and it's REALLY changed. Glad to know there's a "Contact the Creator" option. Thanks lads.

Do either of you post over at the SCN Forums? Just curious.

I cant seem to get the links to work.

TheBeast Supporting Member of TMP20 Jun 2016 10:37 a.m. PST

Which links 'don't work?' The first few posts, yes, but I think everything from my first post above work.

Doug

Darkrazor22 Jun 2016 6:28 a.m. PST

Got it thanks Doug only tried the first links.

;->=

It's what I do. Not like I come up with anything really useful or original.

Doug

Bravo Six26 Jun 2016 1:51 p.m. PST

I beg to differ Doug. You've been most helpful. :)

I emailed Kirk and he got back to me regarding sizes. He said he'd post in this thread once he got his posting privileges back. He was ALSO most helpful in his email. :)

Kirk Alderfer28 Jun 2016 7:15 a.m. PST

I'm back :) When I get a chance to set down at my computer at home, I will try and list out all my Stellar Voyages ships. My biggest issue here lately has been projects at work. After designing 9-12 hours a day, 6 days a week you just don't want to look at a computer to do other things.
Secondly, I think Shapeways keeps changing their processes that has been affecting my designs.
The main problem being the stems on my micro pieces.
