Poniatowski Yep, history should be left as it is, no matter who you support. But it was fun hearing what people would do if they could go back in time. And the Poles were great soldiers and probably one of the reasons all the various nations wanted pieces of Poland, so they could make them fight on their side. |
| Gustav | 29 Mar 2012 4:38 a.m. PST |
must resist, must stop
Everyone knows you need Poles on a campaign. Otherwise the tents fall down! boom cha ! arrgghh it slipped out! |

I wouldn't alter anything, but, if the time machine was big enough, I would take my friend Al and his entire camera team, complete with cameras and lots and lots of charged batteries. What a film we could make from the footage when we got back; fat better than that silly film with Christopher Plummer. |
| Grizzlymc | 29 Mar 2012 12:08 p.m. PST |
I would probably have suggested that they make the concourse bigger and integrate the two stations into one.
No, it is a masterpiece of Victorian baroque. Perhaps, rather than the poor French seeing the name WATERLOO without any warning, the intermediate stations could be Agincourt Crecy Ramilles Blenheim Minden Pyramids Busaco Salamanca Vittoria |
| Captain Gideon | 29 Mar 2012 12:14 p.m. PST |
Colin what do you have against the film WATERLOO? |
| 12345678 | 29 Mar 2012 12:21 p.m. PST |
Well, Pyramids would cheer then up a bit:). We really should rename St Pancras now that the Eurostar goes there. Perhaps it could be called Trafalgar station for the Crapauds and El Alamein station for the cabbage eaters. |

No point in moderation when it comes to causing offence. |

A girl who works for me is from Dresden; her grandmother hates "the English". The girl and I have an odd relationship. A few weeks ago I was walking along the corridor when she came out to ask me something; I quickly hid the spine of the book that I was holding and told her what she needed to know; when I had finished she asked me why I was hiding the book. I replied that I did not want to offend her; she replied that how could a book possibly offend her "unless it was Mein Kampf." I showed her the spine; she was offended:(. |

| Captain Gideon | 30 Mar 2012 12:02 a.m. PST |
Colin you simply have no clue about things with your countless dribble. |
| 12345678 | 30 Mar 2012 12:08 a.m. PST |
Lol giddy, Sorry for having a sense of humour; I find it helps in life;). By the way, is English your first language? |
| Gazzola | 30 Mar 2012 6:31 a.m. PST |
Grizzlymc Good idea to name stations after famous military actions, but a bit biased towards the Brits. Military education should be a bit more even. How about the following? Orleans (with an image of a girl kicking the Brits up the backside) Bordeaux (that'll be popular with the boozy Brits) Yorktown Isandhlwana I was also going to suggest Hastings, but I think they might already have one. |
| Grizzlymc | 30 Mar 2012 7:17 a.m. PST |
Ah, but the station naming will be a British perogative – I do not believe that the EU has yet got a geographical names board (although surely this will come). |
| 12345678 | 30 Mar 2012 8:38 a.m. PST |
Why would we name stations after British defeats? The whole idea is to rub the noses of lesser nations in the dirt. A rather wonderful painting at my place of work does just that for the French and I take great delight in showing it to Gallic visitors:)). |
| Captain Gideon | 30 Mar 2012 8:56 a.m. PST |
Colin are you saying that I don't have a sense of humour, because if you are then and English is my first language is it yours too?
And the reasons that I come back to the Napoleonic Forum are the following: I've had personal attacks laid against me one way or the other over the last year or so by Colin and others, and sometimes it just crosses the line and I have to defend myself I believe I do have that right to defend my good name. It seems that I can't even speak my mind on things here as I get dumped on and insulted by certain members here, and I think I do have that right even though it differs from most members here so it's my opinion and that's what counts. And I get dumped on for how I write things here as well good or bad that's how I am. I know many of you don't like me for several reasons but there's no need to get abusive or rude as some of you have done to me as of late, but it seems that you only like to hear what you say and no one else. And if someone does have a difference of opinion with what's being said you dump on them like I've never seen before. I try and get my point across the best I can and if you don't like the way I write things then that's just tough because I'll continue to do my best (as I see it) to try and get my point across regardless of what abuse I have to take. I may not be well versed in things but I do my best regardless of what you think. |

,
It is not that we do not like you; we just . You may well have a sense of humour but you do not seem to bring it here with you. As to English being your first language, my question was prompted by your apparent inability to use the correct words and follow even the most basic rules of punctuation. Colly |

It seems that Gazzola has problems reading. |
| Gazzola | 30 Mar 2012 1:47 p.m. PST |
colinjallen Oops! But you've got me thinking about your place of work now. Abattoir? Sewer? Give us a clue. |
| 12345678 | 30 Mar 2012 1:59 p.m. PST |
LOL @ Gazzola, First you delete the post where you messed up and then you just cannot resist showing your true self yet again by trying to get a little dig in! Now to varnish the next one:). |
| Gazzola | 30 Mar 2012 2:57 p.m. PST |
colinjallen I deleted it because I made a mistake and misread your post. Quite correct. What do you want, a medal? True self? But you didn't leave a clue? Why is that? Can someone come and see that there really isn't a painting and that you are making up your posts? |
| Maxshadow | 30 Mar 2012 4:30 p.m. PST |
I know many of you don't like me for several reasons but Dear , I'd be surprised if there is anyone here who dislikes you.
|
| Captain Gideon | 30 Mar 2012 5:57 p.m. PST |

And as far as anyone here who dislikes well several do or they seem to do, but that is between them and me.

Share please? |
| Captain Gideon | 31 Mar 2012 8:13 a.m. PST |

Or are you just trying to cause more tension here? |
| Grizzlymc | 31 Mar 2012 8:28 a.m. PST |
Wooooohooooo! That must have been some PM if its disclosure would raise tension, share pleeeeease? |
| Captain Gideon | 31 Mar 2012 8:39 a.m. PST |
it's simply none of your business.
Plus what's the point of a private message if everyone knows what you said, the message is between the 2 people and no one else so I would drop it and go bother someone else. |
| Grizzlymc | 31 Mar 2012 10:10 a.m. PST |
C'mon , spill the beans! |
| 12345678 | 31 Mar 2012 10:20 a.m. PST |
I have managed to obtain a copy of the now infamous PM; it is as follows: "Dear Max, Let us be friends not enemies; how about we meet for some mutual pleasure? I will wear my Napoleon costume; can you dress as Josephine?" |
| Grizzlymc | 31 Mar 2012 10:29 a.m. PST |
Ah, a period drama perhaps? |
| Captain Gideon | 31 Mar 2012 11:12 a.m. PST |
Colin you know what you can do with that so-called PM of yours. And Grizz you appear to be ? |
| Grizzlymc | 31 Mar 2012 11:45 a.m. PST |
Damn! Colin, he's rumbled our closet. He knows, "hey collie, shall we play around on my table", doesn't mean a game of WRG! How perceptive! |
| Texas Jack | 31 Mar 2012 12:12 p.m. PST |

| 12345678 | 31 Mar 2012 12:26 p.m. PST |
Damn indeed! How did he know about though? Someone must have seen us through the window:(. Are you up for a game of Ambush Alley (if you get my drift) next week? By the way , my partner has been reading this thread and I am not sure what it was she said about your posts as she said it in Mandarin, but she was laughing a lot and shaking her head when she said it. |
| Grizzlymc | 31 Mar 2012 1:22 p.m. PST |
You mean SHE knows as well – oh the horror! |
| Captain Gideon | 31 Mar 2012 2:00 p.m. PST |
Frankly Colin some of my friends really can't make you out and they stopped trying. |
| Captain Gideon | 31 Mar 2012 2:52 p.m. PST |
Is it possible that we can get back to the topic or do you wish to continue making fun of me(mostly)and just keep going the way you're going? |
| Grizzlymc | 31 Mar 2012 6:01 p.m. PST |
Ahhhhh! The topic, umm yes. No!
