I am planning to invest in a British Napoleonic army, not sure whether peninsula or Waterloo yet.

Rather fond of Front Rank seven years wars figures I have.

My preference is for chunky figures and quite large figures, also I prefer the heft of metal over plastic. With these bias's in view what would you recommend for 28mm Napoleonic British.

I live in the UK so available in the UK would be easier.

Hard to beat Front Rank given your preferences.

Yes, if you like FR 7YW, that you are probebly going to like their Napoleonics, FR has massive amount of detail.

I'd give Renegade a look too if you like chunky. The prices are pretty reasonable and they certainly have heft.

I would go with Front Rank.

Thanks guys, looks like I may be sticking with front rank. Prices on Renegade are very good, but I think Front Rank have the edge for me.

Ditto with the above. You already like FR. So go with them and you will be pleased.

Most of Renegade's infantry don't have bayonets on their muskets – just an FYI; Their cavalry and artillery look nice. Dean

I built my British army a while back and used mostly Front Rank. Now I have been augmenting them with the excellent Perry line. Once painted, they are very compatible.

The Perrys offer great Waterloo Allies troops and some excellent British Cavalry, Artillery, Light Infantry, and Highlanders. I only wish Perry had more metal British Line Infantry.
