Mid-1970's – a pack each of GHQ Shermans and StuG III's. I had to ask the guy a gazillion times what they were called. Given his accent, sounded like he was saying Micromore. I was finally able to deduce he was trying to say Micro-armor, with a southern accent. Had the same problem with my cousin, who as trying to tell me about the recent "far". Even though I was raised nearby, took me forever to figure out he was trying to tell me about the "fire". Could have been speaking Greek, as far as I could tell. |
