For those of us of certain age , you may well remember these. Thnere is some original artwork by Roy Cross coming up for sale via Vectis auction house vectis.co.uk – if you are feeling rich. I have bought and sold stuff through them before and they are good to deal with check out lots 190 – 204. link cheers Dave |

Whew, it's mostly the art from aircraft kits. If it were toy soldier sets I'd have to mortgage the house. |

The artwork for the British AWI (grenadiers attacking uphill a log-built fort) is the best Airfix artwork ever! Do you agree, sir? link |

Certainly among the best! BTW Just last week saw some pics from a recentish UK show featuring a model/diorama rendition of the box cover of the Bristol Blenhein. Apparently it wasn't the only one. Will try to dig up details on Monday. |

I must confess that the US Marines link and Japanese Infantry link box covers have a memorable place in my adolescent memory. |

The show I mentioned earlier was Scale Model World 2011. Here are some links: link link The site has a big forum area dedicated to these with plenty of progress reports: uamf.org.uk/viewforum.php?f=48 I really like the Blenheim: link

I see they have the 54mm Polish Lancer in the boxed kits, and what I think is the 1/12 Bengal Lancer. Nice models, both of these. |
