Do you use the objective markers that come in boxed sets or do you make your own or do you just not use objectives at all? How about some of the other bits that come in the boxed sets – do you use the scenery bits or just throw them in the bits box? |

Well, once my LGS gets the german objective set in, that's what I'll use. I dig my infantry in on the objective too much to use something 3D. |

I made some objectives of my own. One was composed of the Peter Pig "furniture". I wanted to have an uber-realistic Spielbergian piano in the street. Another was the Peter Pig set of British soldiers having a cuppa tea. I added some ruined brick walls and rubble. It got kind of crowded, so I put an officer with a cuppa on an artillery staff base. I have never seen the point of a wrecked tank as an objective. When I use the BF ones, I prefer the ammo dump ones. |

I also made my own "ammo dump type" from creates and fuel cans from my bits box. Coabeous |

"I have never seen the point of a wrecked tank as an objective." OFM, you could always user them as pre-existing wrecks on the battlefield. I have used them as objectives but I also use fuel dumps as objectives as well. No, I do not sing the "Panzerlied" as the Germans are advancing on the fuels dump objectives. The objectives could be used as a detritus of battles previously fought. I do understand those guys and gals who just put a large base on the table and that's the objective. |

i always make my own Stalingrad Factory Objectives link the generator is HO scale from the local ship British in Normandy Objective (will need to scroll down) link Refugee Objectives link figures from peter pig Ladies of Italy Objective (will need to scroll down) link figures from old glory 15 and BF British Bacon Objectives (will need to scroll down) link pig is HO scale I am making a couple more objectives right now too. Once is SS troops dumping toxins on the ground (those jerks). I am doing the same brits with tea one using peter pig and i also got the germans surrendering from peter pig which I am making into objectives I can use for my allies. i love moving objectives for each of my armies. I also love the little dioramas people come up with. Now I do take large bases to replace them if troops are all over it. |

I've seen some of your objectives before, cbaxter – great work. |

I like the "objectives" in FoW. Nice little opportunity to make a mini-diorama or vignette. I do always place a plain flat marker underneath so that I can move them out of the way if the action gets hot and heavy right on top of them. My favorite BF produced objective is the "tank repair workshop" that comes with the Barkman's Panther set. My favorite non-BF commercial objective is the one of a civilian truck plowed in to a wall made by Baeuda. My favorite objective that made is a pair objectives each with two ammo caissons for British 25 pdr Artillery. |

I always make my own. My EW French Fusilliers-Voltigeurs have a border post and a railroad crossing.
My MW/LW Finns RajaJakarri use a wrecked T-34 in the process of being captured and an MG bunker.
My current Panzergruppe Guderian has General Guderian in his command Halftrack (I even included the Enigma machine). Still haven't figured what to do with my second one, may use the French border post from my French above.

I don't do FoW. However, in our own game system, objectives are often understood [or perhaps more often misunderstood]. We tend to use them more in multi player games for those on the offense. |

I don't actually do FoW either, but I was asking because I like some of the bits that BF manufactures for scenery in games. |

I typically use the FOW objectives. I mean, they were kind enough to throw them into the army box
Now, my LZ objective for Vietnam is just something I made. Took a bare large base, glued some sprue trimmings standing straight up onto the base, and then slopped wood filler over the top for a termite mound. Once I paint it up, it's going to get a streamer of red-orange yarn following the red smoke = hot LZ theory. I want to make another Vietnam-specific objective for the PAVN: a crashed 'loach'. After all, the place you see a burning 'loach' is where the enemy is, right? |

That is awesome, Lion! I've read several books on the hunter-killer helo teams in VietNam. You're dead on! |

@cbaxter
very nice objectives!!! Same to you YBP! I will use whatever I have that makes sense for an objective, depending upon the table/theme
If nothing else, a national symbol will work too
soemtimes an objective is just a piece of land and not any thing 3d
I do like when I can use real objectives though. |
