Is saying that to a fellow TMPer a DH offense?

Or, is it acceptable TMP abuse, covered under a broad interpretation of the Haddockism whimsy umbrella?

John the OFM01 Mar 2012 7:23 a.m. PST

It also occurs to me that this might be an Americanism.
Is it used in the land of the Angles, Saxons and Britons?

Lego Warrior01 Mar 2012 7:38 a.m. PST

If you are aged 3 years old – which in my case I am and I'm guessing so are most tmper's LOL

The Doctor Ye Olde London

Mooseworks801 Mar 2012 7:39 a.m. PST

Nope.

GeoffQRF01 Mar 2012 7:40 a.m. PST

Surely not if it's true. :-)

Although there are lots of other things that people use that could also be true, yet are still DHable (it's a real word) so I shall go with… "maybe"

epturner01 Mar 2012 7:56 a.m. PST

No mas pantalones!

Eric

flooglestreet01 Mar 2012 7:56 a.m. PST

Is too!

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER01 Mar 2012 7:57 a.m. PST

I think maybe is a safe answer.

flooglestreet01 Mar 2012 8:00 a.m. PST

IS TOO!

skippy000101 Mar 2012 8:10 a.m. PST

John the OFM01 Mar 2012 8:25 a.m. PST

Eric is looking at me.

Henrix01 Mar 2012 9:05 a.m. PST

There's not enough coffee in the world, K-blue.

Dynaman878901 Mar 2012 9:15 a.m. PST

It has to be OK, it is not possible to use Sticks and Stones through the net…

epturner01 Mar 2012 9:20 a.m. PST

And John is poking me….

And I can always use a cup of coffee or tea.

Eric

John the Greater01 Mar 2012 9:24 a.m. PST

You kids knock it off RIGHT NOW! Or I'll turn the car around…I'm not fooling.

Ummmm….what was the question again?

Feet up now01 Mar 2012 10:26 a.m. PST

Liar, liar
Your pants on fire
Your hair's sticking up
Your Ass is for hire

sang it at secondry school 20+ years ago and we did not get detention for it then.

Lentulus01 Mar 2012 10:27 a.m. PST

How about a burning trousers icon to go with troll?

John the OFM01 Mar 2012 10:38 a.m. PST

An animated icon?

Charles Marlow01 Mar 2012 11:24 a.m. PST

I think you should be able to politely express your disbelief in regards to something a fellow TMPer has said…

Are we "allowed"?

Gennorm01 Mar 2012 11:26 a.m. PST

Only if neither is a gentleman.

GreyONE01 Mar 2012 11:32 a.m. PST

I don't think reciting the Castaway song will cause anyone any problems:

> Only if neither is a gentleman.

100% OK every time for TMP members then.

Cerdic01 Mar 2012 12:10 p.m. PST

The saying is used here in Britain. The image it produces is more interesting though as we use the word 'pants' to mean underwear!

OldGrenadier at work01 Mar 2012 12:41 p.m. PST

I'm suddenly reminded of a Progressive Insurance commercial.

"No mas pantalones."

Mako1101 Mar 2012 12:55 p.m. PST

Statings facts, and/or opinions should not be DHable.

Sparker01 Mar 2012 1:53 p.m. PST

I think the acceptable parliamentary usage is to suggest that the honourable gentleman is being 'economical with the verite'…

Why this fascination on the DH and what constitutes an offenses?

Just post and be done with it.

Ed Mohrmann Supporting Member of TMP01 Mar 2012 3:32 p.m. PST

Perhaps: 'X is a user of strong drink, and the truth is
not in him.'

Grizzlymc01 Mar 2012 4:18 p.m. PST

Whyu should strong drink affect the truth, en vino veritas!

richarDISNEY01 Mar 2012 5:20 p.m. PST

Wouldn't that be considered trolling? troll
beer

J Womack 9402 Mar 2012 10:13 a.m. PST

"Sir, not being informed to the highest degree of accuracy, I hesitate to articulate for fear that I might deviate from the true course of rectitude."

I.e., I don't know.

Grand Duke Natokina02 Mar 2012 2:56 p.m. PST
