Does any one know how to contact Paul Darnell of Touching History? I have been trying to reach him for a couple of weeks now without any luck.
AOL has a feature where you can see if your emails were opened or read. He has not opened any of the last three or four emails that I sent to him in the past ten days or so.
His site has not been updated for a week now, which is unusual for him.
So, I am wondering if he is out of the country or perhaps he is ill.
Has anyone been in contact with him or know why he has suddenly become unreachable?

Tim Up until last week, he had not set his AOL to ignore this feature.

Thanks Guys,

Mick, if you want to put $5 USD USD,0 on it, I'm up for that.

Your right I have a few times now sought something else to put my efforts into, but never quite found anything suitable to put my creative efforts into.

I know a lot of people and friends within the hobby so have drifted back to it.

However the difference now is I'm now associated with an art gallery and in an art studio with fellow artists.

This was done so I take that leap in moving away from model making and get into art. I like to think I turn my hand to quite a number of art styles, including sculptures, photography and painting, but that's up to others to judge.

So its not a Marketing tool, but fact and the first art exhibition is planned for April next year and I'm already making some radical installations for it.

Making a living from art will be hard work, so throwing myself into that 100%, so wargamaing blogs and playing with toy soldiers has to go.

So the blog will come down as I want a fresh start and as it details there, I'm still doing a couple of demo games next year, I may sell a few models on ebay from time to time, write the odd artile and look to producing some wargaming animation at some point, but will no longer be taking on commissions, or selling models on a regular basis for a living.

Sorry for being creative, but that's how it is for me.

Hope that helps and just in case anyone is confused, I can't sing for toffee.

Cheers Paul

The above was posted by Paul on 19 Oct 2011. According to
his profile (username 'HistoryInc') he is still a supporting
member, so if you find a post he made (such as the one I
quoted above), you should be able to PM him, presuming
the e-dress which TMP has on file as 'verified' is still
active.

ON??? Can you be more specific?

So, what has happend to the models that he had advertised on Jan 18 th. and that I paid for the same day? That's six weeks ago.
He advertised a second model on Jan 28 th. that I also paid for on that date. Still waiting.

Mr. Darnell advertises models for sale as already having been built, so I do not understnd the problem here.
And that doesn't excuse him from replying to customer's inquiries about what happened to their order that they previously paid for.

I can understand that it may take some time for orders to make their way across the Ocean. But not replying to follow up emails is inexcusable.

Is anyone else having this problem?
