I know there are several sites out there that show some good comparison shots of figures. I had trouble finding one that included Blue Moon. So, here is one that has Peter Pig, AB, and Blue Moon together.
And now the advice part: Ive decided to do an ACW project, but Im totally torn on what figures to use. After looking at the AB and Blue Moon in person, I absolutely love the detail. However, ive always been a Peter Pig fan boy, and Im having trouble moving away from it. I know its ultimately my decision, but can you point me in a direction? Im 50/50 on the fence on this one!!! There is always 10mm too :) Thanks for looking! |

Although Peter Pig is nice, the sculpting is very different. I prefer AB and Blue Moon, and they appear to go together very well. AB is lacking a little in variety and that's where Blue Moon fits in nicely. Or just go with Blue Moon, since they already have great variety and will be expanding a lot more. |

There should be an announcement of more ACW releases for the Blue Moon line coming out this week. |

After checking out everything, I really like Battle Honors. Great sculpting and detail. Very accurate. Very inexpensive when buying several packs at once. Downside is fewer poses than others. Barton tends to do all the same faces with slight variations. I love Peter Pig for everything, but it seems for ACW I prefer BH. They are smaller than AB or BM. |

I have OG, PP, and BH in my army. Not in the same unit, but I like the varied look of all the slightly different poses. |

I will be of no help – my ACW are old Hinchcliffs, Minifigs, Essex, old Falcon and Stone Mountain As long as you don't mix them in the same unit, probably not a big deal |

Joe, I've got a lot of 15mm ACW and just recently bought and am having painted some Blue Moon. I think they'll 'fit' with Stone Mountain and the other ranges which I have in 15, provided (as Frederick said) I don't mix them in units. I think Chris is sculpting ACW for Blue Moon, but I might be incorrect. |

My only problem with PP's is that they only give you three pose variations in each pack (acknowledging that this IS an improvement over the 'single pose' manufacturers). While they look okay on the tabletop, they are pretty monotonous when doing the painting, and you can't be too creative with positioning them on move stands. |

I have in my army old glory, blue moon, and Essex. The size difference can be easlie over come in how you mount your figures. I little elmer's glue on the stands for the smaller figures brings the up to the same height. Also remember the three foot rule. However with all that being said if I had to choose go with blue moon. There figures paint up easy and allow an average painter such as myself do great work. Also if you plan on purchasing a lot of figures join there old glory discount army and you save a lot. Lastly they are a new line, fresh takes, fresh figures, and new units coming out seemingly all the time. |
