I have the uniforms for the three infantry regiments of the Army de Conde in Russian service in 1797, but have not been able to find anything on the two cavalry regiments. Does anyone have anything on them?

Also, am I correct in reading that the regiments Noble de Conde and Regiment Hohenlohe-DDurant wore chapeaus (bicorn hats) except for their Greandier companies which wore a miter hat, while the Duke de Bourbon Grenadiers were all grenadiers and thus all wore the miter hat?

Thanks,

Terry

Excellent Duc! I had not thought to check L&H for info on these guys. Now to try and determine which two cavalry regiments went with the Conde to Russia in 1797!!!

Again, thanks, just an excellent help,

Well you haven't thought to check Conrad either…

Hew, Sorry, I don't recognize "Conrad". Is he a source of info for this ?

I have studied the L&H plate and it shows the infantry and cavalry that went into Russian service in 1797, so I feel like I have what I've been looking for. Seems all wore green faced black.

I think the above link is meant, info by Mark Conrad about the Russian army

Ah, OK, yes I am very familiar with that source, and use it regularly, but did not see anything in it on the Conde's regiments. May have over looked so I'll look again. It is without a doubt one of the very best sources, if not the very best source for the army of Tsar Paul, and probably for all Napoleonic Russians.

Thanks,

Terry
