We just refought the battle of Waterloo using my Homebrew C&C: Napoleonics rules, which I came up with in 2009 because I couldn't wait for the real thing. After a few years of playing and tweaking, it's pretty good…so good, that I actually prefer it to the real thing.

Here's the link to the blog:

I currently have French, British, and Prussian armies and plan to do Austrian and Rusian forces once Perry has enough figures to do the entire armies (love me some Perry Minis).

I also have both Civil War armies and rules, and am currently working with Scott MacPhee (a brilliant miniatures painter) on the Punic armies for Ancients.

Congrats on the win. Looked like a fun game.

Thanks! We had a blast.

It became pretty tense as the Prussians were really pouring in on my right and starting to put pressure on me.
If my attack on the left didn't succeed, I probably couldn't launch my planned atttack on the center due to the proximity of the Prussians…and then I would have had to hand over initiative to my opponent…which I HATE! ;-)

In the end, the desperate attack of the Imperial Guard Infantry with the remnants of the depleted left wing cavalry prevailed.

Care to share your homebrew rules?

Sure thing.
Is there a way to post a word doc here or is it better to email?

Well you could copy and paste the ext into a message here, but you wouldn't want to do that unless the rules are very short.

There are loads of free web sites around where you can upload files. I use Google Sites.

Put it on Google Docs, share the document, and then post the link on your blog.

Good idea. I'll try right now.
