Beautiful work!

Your bases look like cardboard? You might want to use something a bit sturdier.

Very nice work Sandro.

I agree with Cerdic. The bases could become damaged at the edges, so perhaps sealing them with a line of PVA (and then painting over, of course) will strengthen them.

But otherwise, excellent. En avant, vorwarts, avanti!

Regards, TC.

Far better-looking than my 10mm efforts. I'll eventuallu get around to posting pics.

I concur Sandro, you'd be better off peeling these figures off their bases and usinging something sturdier, either MDF or plasticard. I know because I used cardboard for my first minis and it warped and disintergrated in a couple of years.
When you've gone to the trouble of painting them so well, its worth getting robust bases. The painting is superb.

Very pretty!

Your figs look great (they probably are nicer than my 25s). I'll join the chorus and suggest you get better bases.

Very nice!

I have taken to using sturdy plastic bases

Mdf bases are very cheap and handy. May I suggest this seller in UK, with excellent international service

auction

Those are awesome! Are they Baccus?

I can't decide what scale to use for my Imagin-nations project. I have samples from all scales but 6mm. I want to keep costs down as I will probably be playing solo. But I also want to do some skirmishing and throw in an occult/horror angle.

Regardless, I doff my hat to your painting efforts.

Yes they are Baccus, the bases are provisional, I'm witing the MDF bases I orderd. I just want to see final effect…

Really nice miniatures Sandro.

For which kind of rules?

Marzio.

SandroMatteoni21 Feb 2012 1:43 p.m. PST

Ciao Marzio,

my figures are based on 2x1,5 cm bases, with 4 bases dor an unit. So I can play Field of battle but also the new Maurice from Sam Mustafa when the latter will be avalaible..

I like them very much. I am also in 6mm SYW and sometimes I am in Poggio a Caiano. Mine are based for Volley and Bayonet:

Very pretty, nice work.
If you think MDF makes the bases too thick, you could try 1mm plywood, or formica sheets. very thing but quite strong and not at all bendy.
