Now why is this scene great?

Well – to be fair

1) the first scene clearly shows that Han Solo shot Greedo without Greedo shooting at him – while the politically correct crowd likes to pretend that he didn't, in fact Han Solo is a tough no-prisoners smuggler

2) well – you have to admit, watching Jar-Jar go over the falls to a grisly death is an interesting thing to watch

The second clip is definitely my favorite Star Wars "movie" of the last, oh, 30 years or so.

George is putting on a few pounds, but he is not yet a crowd onto himself.

Frederick what does Jar Jar Binks have to do with this topic?

But to answer your question NO it would'nt be interesting to watch.

But what would interesting is to see C3PO be torn apart right before our eyes, now THAT would be an interesting thing to watch.

I would love to see Jar Jar torn to shreds by the Ewoks only to have the Ewok planet then disintegrated by Death Star v3.0

I have targets with Jar-Jar's face on them. Way cool for target practice!

Go ahead, richarDisney, he is just the Star Wars version of the cheesy monster you laugh at in horror flicks.

Captain Gideon24 Feb 2012 1:56 p.m. PST

richarDISNEY Jar Jar Binks is'nt that cheesy monster you laugh at in horror flicks, that sounds more like the Gold Butler IMHO.

corporalpat that sounds like a good idea I can have targets with C3PO's face, that'll be a GREAT target.

I'll play devil's advocate here. As much as I hate the concept of Greedo shooting first the screenplay for Star Wars describes that Han Solo and Greedo have a "duel". It doesn't actually go into the details of who shot who, how many shots, who shot first or anything like that.

Greedo shooting at Han and Han blasting him in return is a viable interpertation of the screenplay.

flooglestreet29 Mar 2012 1:39 p.m. PST

Han should have shot Jar Jar while he was at it.

Captain Gideon29 Mar 2012 8:15 p.m. PST

flooglestreet Han should've shot the Gold Butler then I would've some peace.

But ENOUGH already of the ANTI-Jar Jar crap I think you and others have spewed enough crap already, why don't you give it a rest.

Greedo shooting at Han and Han blasting him in return is a viable interpertation of the screenplay.

Would it have been? Sure.

Was that what happened in the original movie? No.

Is trying to retroactively change a classic movie going to annoy people? You bet.

Agreed.
