I'm taking a foray into 15mm including 15mm moderns. I'm looking for scale modern vehicles including cars, trucks, buses, etc.

I know Peter pig has a few, and Sci-fi vehicles are pretty common, but I'm looking for a 15mm source for civilian vehicles for games like ATZ, Ambush Alley, nd alien invasions.

I'm tempted to step up to 1/87 (HO) scale, but I've already got most of my buildings built in 1/100 (15mm)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd check toys like Hotwheels and the like. They all seem to scale pretty well with most current 15s.

They are 1/64th scale so are really way too large.

I use HO scale stuff. Yes, it is supposed to be 1:87 but it seems to work well with my 15mm figures and buildings. And you can get a ton of other HO scale accessories that work well, stuff like dumpsters and other items.

TT gauge (1:120) is what you want. Not widely available, and often expensive.

1:100 is an architectural scale. They are expensive.

I also use HO stuff. Works perfect. Also, some Hot Wheels and Matchbox stuff does work. Usually it's the bigger trucks but some of the bigger cars like the '59 Caddy works as well.

Check out Brekina or Wiking on Ebay, they do moderns and some nice 1930's-1940's stuff too. They appear pricey at first, but you can get occasional bargains

Go to eBay.

Search for '1 100 cars' under Toys & Hobbies. Omit the single quote marks.

There will be a lot of what you don't want to search for, but I found these within the first 10 pages:

Model Power Minis and some of the European Model Train companies work well.

I use tons of 1/87th scale civilian vehicles in my own 15mm Ambush Alley games – I think they work great with figures by Peter Pig, Rebel Mini, and QRF.

They are 1/64th scale so are really way too large.

No, they are not. Neither Hot Wheels nor Matchbox maintains a consistent scale. (Insert joke about minis manufacturer of your choice here.) You really have to see them in the store to eyeball them.
