First off, there is none that I know of. Here are my criteria. 1) It comes in a squeez tube with a long nozzle. You can cut the nozzle to get your ideal bead size. 2) It is sticky coming out, so you can position tiny pieces and they will stay in place. 3) It sets relatively quickly, like 10 seconds. This lessens "hold it in place until it sets" tedium. 4) If you forget to put the cap back on, it hardens at the tip only, and you can flick it off and get freesh glue underneath. 5) It will bond many substrates, like metal, resin, plastic, wood
6) It's cheap enough to stick soldiers to bases, or to glue the halves of 28mm elephants. (I get my superglue gel at the Dollar stores. ) 7) Non toxic, no solvent high, and smells fruity. 8) It is compatible with other adhesices, like runny Zap gap, or bulky gap filling. Works well with CA or epoxy. 9) No mixing. No UV light needed. Accelerants STRENGTHEN the bond, rather than weaken it like CA accelerant does. |

The ideal assembly adhesive for minis Depends what they're made of. There is no one "universal" glue (see * below). However UHU meets a lot of your criteria: 1) It comes in a squeeze tube with a long nozzle. 2) It is sticky coming out, so you can position tiny pieces and they will stay in place. 3) It sets relatively quickly, like 10 seconds. This lessens "hold it in place until it sets" tedium. 5) It will bond many substrates, like metal, resin, plastic, wood
6) It's cheap enough to stick soldiers to bases, or to glue the halves of 28mm elephants. (I get my UHU at the Pound shop.) 7) Non toxic, no solvent high. 8) I see no need for "compatibility with other adhesives". Different glues do different jobs with different materials. Use the right glue for the job! * 9) No mixing. No UV light needed. No need for accelerants (they are a purelu superglue thing). * e.g. I wouldn't use UHU to assemble hard plastic miniatures. For that you need Liquid Poly. Equally to stick wood, card or paper you need PVA. |

So when somebody says "UHU", which glue are they referring to? The hardware store has a whole rack of UHU-branded glues. |

I have been using this for almost everything and I love it. link Comes out like axle grease a bit but it holds great and seems to bond with – wood, metal, plastic, resin, gravel, and flock with no problems. |

So when somebody says "UHU", which glue are they referring to? "UHU The All Purpose Adhesive"

I'll have to give the UHU and Loctite a try. For metals and metal/plastic and resin I've been using 2 part epoxy, which I like (except when I need to get something back apart later on). |

Thistothat.com hasn't been updated in a while but it's a nice reference. So what kind glue is UHU All Purpose Adhesive? Same question for Loctite Repair Extreme? I like to know what I'm using. The UHU web site doesn't really talk about what the glues are made of. There's a "First Aid for glue accidents" document but it only talks about cyano-acrlyate glues (super glue). Is it a superglue variant then? On the Loctite US web site I don't see Repair Extreme listed. I'd guess it's a contact adhesive not a superglue. |

UHU is not a super glue variant but is a liquid synthetic resin adhesive developed in 1932. Main ingredients: methyl acetate, ethanol, acetone See: PDF link |

I have been using 3M Super Strength Adhesive in a tube for years, it bonds everything and dries very fast. |

For years I have used this for almost everything except foam. artbeads.com/e6000.html It meets most of your requirements. |
