Hi, after a brief *cough* hiatus I put up four new 6mm buildings on my homepage: two village houses and two shops.

muraminiatures.com/news

I also started to put up short reviews of the various Asian miniature ranges I have collected over the years, so eventually there'll be plenty of 28mm minis up there with comparison shots for size.

Now, what to model next…

Setsuko those are beatuiful. What to model next? A Torii Arch and a Temple. TIG

Very impressive.
Will you be reviewing 6mm miniatures?

Those are fantastic!

Thanks for the positive replies!
TIG: I don't think I can pull off a torii arch with the kind of resin casting I use. Another temple structure would be doable though, I'll browse around in my books and see if I can find something inspirational.

Caesar: Indeed, I finally got around to basing my 6mm baccus samurai just today, so I'll take some pictures tomorrow and write something. I still haven't bought anything from Irregular, but I might do it. Unfortunately I don't know any 6mm asian pre-modern miniatures except for those.

Looking forward to it.

Nice review and you did a fantastic job with the painting and basing.

As requested by tig I did a small temple to add to the line:

It's very small though, do people prepare such small buildings to be sold separately, or in a set together with some other small items?

tigrifsgt18 Mar 2012 5:36 p.m. PST

Setsuko: Beautiful as always. Maybe you could pair it up with your shrine at a special price. It would be a good start for a jinaimachi. A couple of small temple lions in front might be nice. The temple in my jinaimachi has an amidado next to it. Again you almost make me want to switch from 28's to 6's. Also, just as a thought. You might want to set up all of your buildings in a village set up with figures and landscaping, a diorama of sorts. It could give them more appeal. TIG

Wonderful that 6mm is so well supported. You deserve the thanks of any player immersed in the history of Japan. I can see you do careful research.
