Seems like an awfully long period to cover in one book.

Greetings from Spain.
First at all I want beg your pardon with my spanglish (Donīt worry the book is in perfect english…:)
Iīm one of the author of the book "The spanish Tercios, 1.536-1.704".

I donīt know why but the surname is wrong in the web talking about the book. Thatīs our second surname.

I think that this books can be an excellent opportunity to fill a gap in the english language books about the Tercios.
There are too many errors in the books I have read, and in most of them, they talk about this theme in a very briefly way. So, I want to thank to Osprey the opportunity to talk about these great military units, with a dispassionate point of view.
We have used a lot of primary sources and we think that itīs a good work. Well, I canīt say otherwise…:)
I hope the book likes everybody.
Cheers.

Well, itīs clear that the size of an Men at arms title, only can be an introduction to the theme, and with the period covered (1.536-1.704, a lot of time) itīs only possible to talk about general information.
Despite that we think that itīs a good approximation to these great military units.
There is one "world exclusive" (a new information, that until today the historicians have written in a wrong way, and we can show with the primary source in hand).
The plates choosen are interesting (at least for me…•wink? and the photos from the new re-opened spanish army museum are great.

Well, this summer weīll leave the doubts :)
