What celebrity would you like to game with ? Has to be somebody living ( no digging up Rommel to see if he's any good at blitzkreig commander) and preferably a valid reason ( no Carmen Electra coz she's hot). So choose your celeb . I would pick Eddie Izzard. Intelligent, funny and well versed in ancient history. |
Connard Sage | 11 Feb 2012 6:04 a.m. PST |
So Carmen Electra's out because she's hot, but a crossdressing alternative comedian's OK? In that case, Xanthe Mallett and Alice Roberts. They're both intelligent and well versed in their field. |

Any stand-up that can work a joke about the name of carthaginian generals into a routine is obviously allowed. Alice Roberts is allowed, as is Bethany Hughes
|
Grizzlymc | 11 Feb 2012 6:13 a.m. PST |
Mel Gibson – I would sooooo love burning his church. |
flooglestreet | 11 Feb 2012 6:14 a.m. PST |
I would like to game with Cassandra Peterson because of her vast
knowledge of the cinema and her deep
appreciation for the macabre in the art of the motion picture. These are the
uh two reasons I would like to game with her. I would especially like to play Hide the er the Straits of Salamis. |
David Manley | 11 Feb 2012 6:16 a.m. PST |
Reese Witherspoon. I understand she has a deep but hidden interest in WW2 coastal forces operations. |
vtsaogames | 11 Feb 2012 6:38 a.m. PST |
Helen Mirren – she's my age. |
Nappy29388 | 11 Feb 2012 7:14 a.m. PST |

epturner | 11 Feb 2012 7:14 a.m. PST |
Kate Winslet. She's smart and hot. Emma Thompson, a little older, but still smart and attractive to me. Eric |
John the OFM | 11 Feb 2012 7:26 a.m. PST |
I reject your rejection of Carmen Electra. I don't want to upset her when she drops by tonight to pick up the Katyushas she is borrowing to use at the Flames of War tournament next weeekend. |
CPT Jake | 11 Feb 2012 7:38 a.m. PST |
Charlie Sheen. I would put him in charge of providing refreshemnts and entertainment for the post game party. Oh yeah

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER | 11 Feb 2012 7:51 a.m. PST |
Glen Campbell*. He'll believe anything I tell him about the rules
(Alzheimer's) Whil Wheaton otherwise. |
PapaSync | 11 Feb 2012 7:52 a.m. PST |
The one and only Michelle Rodriguez. That's one Latina who knows how a handle gun. Weather its mutants, zombies, aliens or gang bangers (I'll leave that last one to be interpreted with your own imagination). I'll take point with her anytime. 8) |
Cosmic Reset | 11 Feb 2012 7:58 a.m. PST |
OFM! But if that were not possible, then Robin Williams. |
enfant perdus | 11 Feb 2012 7:59 a.m. PST |
Tom Hanks. He's very interested in and knowledgable about WWII and is apparently the nicest guy in the world. |
Company D Miniatures | 11 Feb 2012 8:29 a.m. PST |
I would go with Eva Mendez as her knowledge of Roman Army siege techniques is second to none. |
dBerczerk | 11 Feb 2012 8:31 a.m. PST |
- Newt Gingrich for ACW. – Arnold Schwartzenagger for Ancients. – Russel Crowe for Napoleonic naval. – Woody Harelson for post-apocalyptic fantasy. |
Mal Wright | 11 Feb 2012 8:51 a.m. PST |
I'd like to play games with Scarlet Johansen. Oh and you said there had to be a reason
. Ummmmm
I'm a dirty old man with dilusions! |
highlandcatfrog | 11 Feb 2012 8:54 a.m. PST |
Carmen Electra. I've heard she knows quite a bit about the differences between a Fw-190A-3 and a Fw-190A-8. |
Klebert L Hall | 11 Feb 2012 9:24 a.m. PST |
None of them, I expect. -Kle. |
OldGrenadier | 11 Feb 2012 10:10 a.m. PST |
Drew Carey. Supposedly an actual gamer. Connard, having checked, your two choices are suitable as well :) |
Flashman14 | 11 Feb 2012 11:43 a.m. PST |
You all can take Alice Roberts and I'll take Alice Goodwin. |
Huscarle | 11 Feb 2012 11:52 a.m. PST |
Professor Francesca Stavrakopoulou, an expert on all things biblical ;-). |
ETenebrisLux | 11 Feb 2012 12:20 p.m. PST |
I second Eddie Izzard ! He would be hilarious ! |
Justin Penwith | 11 Feb 2012 12:37 p.m. PST |
Robin Williams has purchased GW miniatures with his son in the GW Store in San Francisco, so he's certainly a capable opponent or ally, but I would prefer to match wits with Kate Beckinsale and discuss the finer points of playing a vampire while pushing lead/pewter. I would even pay for her cab fare. |
skippy0001 | 11 Feb 2012 2:11 p.m. PST |
|
GreyONE | 11 Feb 2012 2:17 p.m. PST |
Eddie Izzard would be hilarious! However, once he starts talking, no one would be playing. We would just be listening to him and forgetting about the game. Still, I'd have him over at the club anytime. |
D A THB | 11 Feb 2012 2:54 p.m. PST |
Sofia Vergara, she'd put up a good fight and would probably enjoy a game as well. |

|
corporalpat | 11 Feb 2012 5:40 p.m. PST |
I would like to play All Things Zombie with Milla Jovovich, LoTR with Peter Jackson, and IABSM with Cpt. Dale Dye. |
WarrenB | 11 Feb 2012 5:49 p.m. PST |
Corporalpat: the problem with that is that PJ would flick through the rulebook, decide that he didn't like most of it and chuck it over his shoulder, then have a bunch of shieldsurfing elves and backflipping hobbits and tossing dwarves. (I imagine he'd be big into tossing. You could say he's a right big t
) I'd pick the hairy bikers (the original UK ones), 'cos they'd be a laugh and they'd bring good game snacks. ----- Warren B. minisculpture.co.uk |
Doc Karl | 11 Feb 2012 5:52 p.m. PST |
Bruce Dickenson from Iron Maiden. Well versed in history and can fly his own plane across the pond to play here in the States. |
wrgmr1 | 11 Feb 2012 6:08 p.m. PST |
I'd like to play a few games of ACW with Shelby Foote. |

Sean Connery or Michael Cain. Mostly just to talk to them about their careers, but they have both been in a goodly number of war movies. |
Dynaman8789 | 12 Feb 2012 5:43 a.m. PST |
None – I play to game, I'll admire a famous person for whatever they are famous for, but other then that have no use for them. |
Grizzlymc | 12 Feb 2012 7:09 a.m. PST |
Sofia Vergara, she'd put up a good fight and would probably enjoy a game as well.
I think that you are supposed to wargame with the celeb. |
SaintGermaine | 12 Feb 2012 8:34 a.m. PST |
Padma is smart enough to do more than be someone's servant. I have a long list but Colin Powell would be at the top. Thalia Assuras (newscaster) always admired her. |
J Womack 94 | 12 Feb 2012 9:48 p.m. PST |
Coo
hard one to choose. Sir Sean would be up there. I know he's big into Scotich history, so maybe a Jacobite game? Gary Busey. He'd try to eat the dice, the poor . Peter Cushing (is he still alive? probably not). But the old Grand Moff was a gamer in his day. Kevin SMith. It would be funny. |
kreoseus2 | 13 Feb 2012 2:59 a.m. PST |
So we have assorted comedians, a few cooks, the odd musician and various women "coz they are hot". No wants to game with BRIAN BLESSED ? |
stenicplus | 13 Feb 2012 6:31 a.m. PST |
Lisa Rogers from Scrapheap Challenge. I just know she'd be so into wargaming givent the chance. |
