I am looking for some nice WW2 terrain, can be either front in 15mm that ISNT Miniature building authority, or JR miniatures. Any good suggestions? |

Personally, I'm going with more paper buildings these days, but try Acheson Creations
nice stuff, reasonable prices. achesoncreations.com |

Take a look at Escenorama buildings. I have some of them and like them a lot. Really useful. They came from Spain, though. link (I have their ready-to-play buildings
they don't show in their website, though) |

Fieldmarshallt, I've got a bunch of really well painted buildings mostly Musket Min, Scenic Effects & a few I cant remember who made. Also have some old Scenic Effects LARGE pieces (Monte Casino, hill with trenches & mountain with interior tunnels that I'm thinking of getting rid of) I did all the painting & detailing. I can send you pics if you wanna take a look. Shoot me an email at: petecam@verizon.net if you're interested. Peter |

How about the obvious: Possibly because one cant get past the 'DUST CLOUDS' without breaking into uncontrollable laughter! |

Their (FoW) terrain is however reasonably priced and very decent quality for something that is table ready. Not the best detail, but if you are just starting out and want to get stuff on the table quickly – this is a very valid option. |

Possibly because one cant get past the 'DUST CLOUDS' without breaking into uncontrollable laughter! Interesting. Are you saying here that you recommend avoiding an entire line of options because you find one item offered in that line humorous? FWIW, I'm not a big fan of the "Dust Clouds" myself. However there are a lot of other great terrain options available from the FoW line and they are adding more, particularly the building area which this thread seems to focus on. I picked up the two desert building sets this month from BF which I thought were an awesome value at $25 USD for each set. That's as cheap as some lines' unpainted stuff. Darn good quality and a much better price than most others' "pre-painted" buildings. And that's just the first wave. Eastern European building sets will follow to include an Eastern Orthodox Church. Cheers, VB |

I'm not a fan of their Dust Clouds either. Our group made our own last year using medium bases topped with Vallejo sand, painted and then glued brown pillow stuffing on them. Looked great. As for the concept of the dust clouds, I really like the rule and how they play. Back to "the obvious" you can get everything you need to get started from their current line: rivers, roads, obstacles, fortifications, Buildings for EF or Africa or Italy (no European yet), and some very good hills, woods, and lakes. Once you have enough to play with, you can get specific and start using other companies to build up your collection. Stay away from buildings that don't have removable roofs if you can. Esconografia Epsilon is greatness! link |
