What Colonial Wars Rules works best with 10mm? I have Black Powder, TSATF, and 800 fighting Englishmen. But are these the best rules to use at this scale? TSATF is recommended for 25mm, as is I think 800 fighting Englishmen. I know Black Powder will work, but will I get a good period flavor? Can I use stands in place of individual figures in TSATF, AND 800 fIGHTING Englishmen? What would be best for basing if I could? What other rulesets are out there I could use? I'm just getting started with this historical period. So I have a lot of questions. Thanks for any help

TSATF at 10MM? can it be done?

Of course it can!

What would work for basing?

Try mounting as many 10mm figures as looks comfortable (say 3?) on a 20mm square base and then treating each base as a figure in TSATF.

We put three FFL or Arabs on a base, with two mounted figures on a base, and called each "1" figure in TSATF, just like Margard says.

It works a treat.

I've been gaming colonials in 10mm for years. Just mount 3 figures on a 20mm base and treat it as a "figure" per the rules. It works very well and looks amazing! If you look in the (admittedly old) Articles section of 10mmWorld.com you can get a good idea of what the Zulu War looks like in this style.

Cheers,

Christopher

Our group just started using 10mm for TSATF. with a few mods it works out great. I mount 2 figues on a .875 x .625 base, 10 stnads per unit. Cav are mounted on a .875 square basse. Artilley is 1 large base and a infanty base.

tkaes 2 wounds to remove a base.

If you go to the Pendraken forum under Photos, there are 2 post with the British and Dervish Armies.

Runnig a game at CincyCon in a couple weeks also.

Thanks for all the ideas. This should help me out. Any other ideas would still be welcome. Thanks everyone for the help.

I have 500 individually based Zulus and about 100 British, NNC, irregulars.

Works great. Also good for Chris Feree's Isnadhlwana and Rorke's Drift games
