…. Zouave II rules? I have searched TMP and found virtualy nothing about this ruleset, which makes me think that perhaps no-one is using them. I like to read a set of rules and come away with a feeling as to how they will 'flow' during a game. I have to admit that with Zouave II I struggle to get any feeling about them whatsoever. I can see that I'm going to have to play them to understand them.

Has anyone else played with them, or have an opinion about them?

I have looked at Fire and Fury but was put off by the apparent need to label all your units. Do you have to keep changing the labels whenever you play a new battle or scenario?

Sorry, no.

No never heard of them…F&F BvB have got it sewn up in my opinion.

I have never heard of those rules either, however in answer to your other question about labeling units, I have labelled all my units and it does not stop them being something else.

We play johnny Reb II not that this should have no bearing on the point. I have for example a 25 man regiment painted as the 20th Mass. "the Harvard Rgt." So if plying a specific scenario that requires a 25 man unit these guys can easily step in and be another rgt.

hope that helps

I play F&F almost exclusively for the Civil War. Relabeling the units isn't a big deal. I have never heard of Zouave II, so I can't help you there.

Is that the set by Bob Jones?

Thanks,

John

Hello John. Yes, they are by Bob Jones. Clearly few people have heard of them, and possibly ever fewer play them!

Indeed.

Yeah, they don't seem to be mentioned much anywhere.

I've seen them at FLGS, but as the are plastic wrapped, never opened them. If anybody has bought them, they haven't told me or brought them out.

I sold Zouave I. Brought 12 into the shop. But version 2 was released very close to version 1. So I've got version 1 on clearance and never brought in 2.
