Nice looking project. One thing I would note, however, is that the number of units you have completed certainly *is* enough to start gaming. Put the 4 CSA regiments on the defensive, maybe defending a crossroads, and make the CSA battery light guns (6lb) to take some of the sting out. Then have the 6 Union regiments advance to take the objective. That's enough to start and get the feel for whatever rules you have chosen.

My first intro games were only a bit larger than that, and I've simply built for each new scenario as it approached.

Cheers,

Christopher

That does sound as if you have thought it all the way through. I have decided that I will not say I am going to finish a project the year my plan is to paint up enough to play.

i have finished an adhoc. confederate division of 4 brigades, including "stonewall", "irish", "archer's" and the "Texas" brigades.

to fight this so far I have painted 5 union brigades again totally adhoc.

my plan is 6 union brigades thereby equating to 2 union divisions.

so best of luck and keep up the good work.

I would not say I could finish the project if it wasn't for the plastic ready painted figures, they are going to give me 9+ regiments, which means I only have to paint about a dozen regiments.

i've been doing research on archers brigade for about 25 years.
