Really liked doing this base. Again it counts as a unit using Impetus style basing.
I have at last got round to doing my Foundry viginette by including it into a unit. New Kingdom Egyptian spear are Cutting Edge 28mm.
I have heard from Pete that the chariots for this army are days away from release.

So the interrogation happened the night before the battle? If so, why represent it as a unit for the battle itself?

colin knight10 Feb 2012 4:32 a.m. PST

Margard-good point. But the point is its just fun I as really liked some of the stories that go with Photos in WAB chariot wars eg.
So this base can also be another captive being beaten up at the start of the battle.

I like it but I would like to know how Rammu "talked" his head off. That is one bad dude if he can do that.

Or, may be they are surrounded by enemy and torture the enemy leader's relative. "Leave as alone or he gets it!" That way this can be used in battle…

LeadLair76- just noticed that typo error now fixed. Good job I am not writing a book.

I like it! I think it's a very imaginative use of some very interesting figures.

I have the same set, which I bought specifically for the Egyptians leading the prisoners away, which I intend to use as part of my FoG camp scene. I wasn't sure what to do with the prisoner interrogators, but this is a nice idea.

like your work, impetus type basing really has opened up the presentation of troops.

hwarang10 Feb 2012 11:46 a.m. PST

Quite gruesome, as all of the bases on your site. Of course that is how war is, but I dont like to depict that.

Altius10 Feb 2012 1:32 p.m. PST

Quite gruesome…

Well, maybe he was a bad man and deserved it.

hwarang10 Feb 2012 3:13 p.m. PST

Still gruesome then, isnt it?

colin knight11 Feb 2012 5:18 p.m. PST

Thanks guys many more to come. With regard to being gruesome-they may get worse?
We have to blame Perrys for these viginettes.

I was digging around for a reference talking about how ritualized execution of prisoners and traitors (cf Megiddo) prior to battle was a standard feature of chariot period battles.

Just suggesting the next bit that followed for ol' Rammu was a bit messier and final.

smiting cause God said so,

I have to admit that if it wasn't for the Army-Painter style of painting, I wouldn't get any units finished.

Nice work, BTW.
