I was flipping channels and came across Travis Smiley on PBS. Michael Mann was the guest and he mentioned he is going to be making a movie about Agincourt. No dates, actors, or other details. Just putting it out there, not trying to get anyone's hopes up, or down. |

Supposedly its an adaption of Bernard Cornwell's novel with the script written by the guy who wrote The Tudor's TV series. Will it happen? Who knows

@Jaz Unnless you are trying to joke ;-): Not Michael E. Mann (the climate guy), but Michael Mann, director of movies such as Heat, The Last of the Mohicans, and Ali. IMDB lists the project as under production! |

Excellent news. I hope its a big budget film, with tons of actors and extras in the film, in order to do it justice. I'd love to see several for the various battles around the same period. |

I wonder if there is hope for someone to do The Warlord series by Cornwell? |

Now if they could only get a big budget version of the Sharpe novels. The TV movies were very good considering the lack of budget, but something with more grandeur would be nice. |

I give it a week before gamers on TMP start to complain and moan and predict how bad it will be and why the French have English accents, and why Hollywood never gets it right, and why there will be explosions, and why
.. Please, please, please prove me wrong. |

Sadly you will not be wrong. For once could we hear about what they got right and was it a well done film? |

The book would make a good HBO series: nudity, rape and burning at the stake. In the first chapter! |

Henry V? I must have missed that production. |

I remember talk of this a few years back and thought they'd scrapped it. If it's still in the pipeline then good news, I loved the book. link |
