That's impressive! Baby's cute too.

(each turn is basically- attempt to unpin, land more troops, try to get up the beach)
Boy, ain't that the truth! – says the guy with a 1st ID assault company.

Thanks Neal!

@Lion- yeah I can only handle a Hit the Beach Mission once a year or so. Looks cooler than it plays.

@War in 15- thanks, I'll be sure to tell her :)

Those explosion markers are fantastic — simple, but they really catch the eye.

The baby-shaped explosion marker was the best.

I thought it was Isabellazilla emerging from the ocean to wreak havoc on the Japanese coastline… :)

Another great AAR!

The explosion markers and the landing craft are from PaperTerrain

Was this a Version 3 game?

I'm curious how the rules changes, like the ability now to target bunkers with smoke bombardmnets, may impact this kind of scenario.

Cheers,

VB

Nope- was actually my last V2 game at home. Tomorrow there's a V2 tournament, and that's it for V2!

VonBurge10 Feb 2012 9:28 a.m. PST

Gotcha…I'm full on V3 now, no looking back! :)

I'm looking to set up a game with "Tropic Lightning" this weekend using V3. Again, just interested in in V3 changes/effects in different "venues."

Cheers, VB

Great looking game! What stats did you use on the giant baby…I'm looking through the FOW catalogue and am not seeing it listed. ;-)

MajorB10 Feb 2012 3:48 p.m. PST

V2? There are rules for V2s in FoW?

VonBurge10 Feb 2012 5:41 p.m. PST

V2 = Version 2 of the FoW rules.

Cheers, VB

@Mini- Anything she steps on is dead.

Troops have to roll motivation to return fire since she's so cute.

At the start of each turn she must roll a die- if she rolls a 1 she takes a nap
