I gave a shot at painting up some Russians tonight. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Not sure how close I was with the colors. Any help would be appreciated. link
Thanks, Chris Stoesen |

They look just fine. The dye lots for Russian uniforms were so unstable as to render complete uniformity virtually impossible to obtain (as in most armies of the past). Add to that sun, mud, wear and tear and any shade khaki/tan uniform works fine for WW1 or WW2 Russians! The trick for me when I paint Russians is I mix my own color a little at a time so the beginning shade never matches the ending shade. It gives your unit a realistic look that the fancy, "accurate" colors can't match. Technically, for units in the field, the uniform color of the day is usually mud anyway! Cheers! |

They look good for a first attempt. Your next squad will look even better, especially once the figures are based. Give us another picture once you've based the figures -- sort of a "before and after." Are they 15mm? If so, which manufacturer? |

These are 15mm Peter Pig Minis. Thanks for the comments. I will post again when I get a chance to base them up. Chris |
