I'm looking for Union cavalry with carbines. I'm going to do some of the Plains Indian campaigns of the 1860s. The poses could be firing, or carbine resting on leg. You would think this would be easy. I've already looked at Dixon, Old Glory, Sash & Saber and Foundry. Any other manufacturers you can recommend?
Thanks,
Andrew

So the carbine cannot be in the scabbard?

For Plains Indian battles include more NON-Forage caps. They used slouch hats more often than CW period Union cav.

Also if you want a more realistic feel do not use so many beared faces and long hair. Those styles were out by 1870's and later except the usual scouts.

Do not forget to look for ragged rebel cavalry as well. The will fit in fine for the 1860's with the right colors.

Old Glory sell a bag of both sides with carbines.
