The Ramada is now called the Magnuson Hotel. I just made my reservations today and it took me awhile to figure out the name change when I couldn't find an on-line listing forge Ramada.

Wow. When I made my reservation a couple weeks ago it was still a Ramada. I hope they just changed the name and kept the staff (like they did when it changed to a Ramada from a Holiday Inn) – those folks are amazing.

I am seriously looking forward to the con this year!

Wow, 29 years!

29 Years!!
And that doesn't even count the SYW group battles that we started in the early 70's at GenCons.
I, in all modesty, led the Nebraska contingent ably allied with the New York guys (MiniFig's Steve Carpenter)against the evil French force from Milwaukee captained by Monsieur Bill Protz. Allied leaders would include Ray Koch, Dean West, Steve Popper, (who all will be at this year's convention, Patrick LeBeau, Larry Irons, John Gleason and many others (forgive me for those not mentioned.
From our annual Tricorne games we eventually started the SYW Assn and its journal first produced by Steve at MiniFigs.
As an aside, and again with all modesty, the trophy so fiercely fought over in these games, THE HOLY ROCK, still resides in Omaha!
