I just received my London War Room rowers, tillermen, and seated fusiliers from Dayton Painting Consortium. The service (Richard) and the figures are great. The price was 90 cents a figure and shipping was very reasonable. I received my order in less than a week. I'm very happy!

Sounds great.

Glad to hear it.

Would love to see some pics of them, even in unpainted condition, if you have any to share.

Hi Mako11. I hate to admit it but as a photographer, I'm a good brick layer. Somehow my photos always suck/out of focus. That's the main reason I have my daughter take the pictures for the galleries on my website. But I'll corner my wife or daughter and get some pictures of my new London War Room boat crewmen. They really are very nice and seem to go very well with both my Foundry and Old Glory 25 pirates. Oddly enough shortly after I ordered these figures someone on this website (can't remember who or why) said that the London War Room SYW figures are terrible. But the figures I got today are really very good. Very clean castings. And Rich at Dayton Painting Consortium is great to work with. I really couldn't be happier. Anyway, I'll get some photos taken soon. Richard

Thank you.

Much appreciated.

I'd like to ogle them until I can scrape up the dough to order a bunch.

From the few samples I've received, I thought they were quite nice, but everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

I usually try to take photos using the macro mode on the camera, in natural lighting. How close you can get is dictated by the focal length set by the manufacturer, so it may not be you – these very from a couple inches, to a couple of feet, depending upon the camera.

Use a tripod too. That will prevent blurry pix

Mako11, until I get some pictures taken of my seated figures, have a look at the Wargames Society's Stillwater 1777 Joe's Pic's (Joe Dever) gallery. It has two longboats with soldiers. One with British Grenadiers with the miter hats and one with fusiliers in tricorns. It sure looks like those fusiliers are the London War Room seated fusiliers I just bought from Dayton. They look the same in terms of size and detail.

Thanks for the tip on the photos.

I really appreciate it, and they look great.

Sadly, now I would like to play AWI too, on a board like that, with superbly painted minis like were shown there too. Looks to be a museum quality gaming setup!

Also, now to figure out who produces the longboats too.

I think the rowboats are from Ainsty, but I haven't seen those longboats before.

They look superb too.

Thought they might have been Britannia, but the seat count, and gunwales are different.
