i have to confess to a little lie with this one. the model kit is supposed to be 1:350. this apparently is supposed to be an even bigger version of the juggernaut seen in the movie. however, when i read the dimensions, i thought that it should fit perfectly with my N scale stuff as the smaller, movie version. i was pleased to see my instincts were correct once i got the mini. i then went about modifying it for a more "Battletechy" feel. i gave her a turret with some improved firepower and an EWAC-style sensor/comm dish. then a few more minor details and she was all ready for the paint
.oh, the mast you see in the pics is the spotter/sensor tower. i accidentally cropped it out of the pics.

LOOK at THAT! I want that for my 6mm sci-fi!!!! |

Excellent work! I must ask, who makes the various mechs in the last photo? |

You know your work is amazing why do you torture us with such awesomeness. ;-) Where does the model come from? The vehicle is a beast and the paint job is great. It appears the vehicle would work well in the 15mm world. What to you think? |

I was just thinking that it would look good for 15mm – great minds eh, Louie. Where's it from Spaceman Spiff? |

That looks great! One other (likely dumb) question – who makes the mecha models in the photo? |

They look like Heavy Gears? |

I know the big four-legged guy is from heavy gear, but, the smaller ones are nothing I have ever seen. (I play Heavy Gear!) They could be conversions. |

Its a bit pricey but a very beautiful model indeed! link |

the short quad mech is, indeed, a Heavy Gear mech. the taller one in the background is, of course, an AT-AT. those short guys running around the juggernaut are 1:144 scale Votoms Armored Troopers. they are from an old anime cartoon series. they came in a set which included a vehicle and two of these mechs. they are just a bit smaller than your average Heavy Gear suit. as for the juggernaut fitting in with 15mm? you bet! there really are no defined doors or hatches on the vehicle to betray what scale it really is. |

Thank you Spaceman Spiff! |

Impressive! Good paintwork Spaceman, the 222 artwork looks special. "as for the juggernaut fitting in with 15mm? you bet! there really are no defined doors or hatches on the vehicle to betray what scale it really is." Cool, that would make it an interesting 'Amtrak Wars' type vehicle for 6mm. Cheers, TC. |
