Im looking for someplace on-line to get some decent 15mm Boer figures. Brits are a bit hard to find also, but Boers are next to impossible. Im starting TSaF again and Id rather do it in 15 do to cost and speed of painting. Thanks for whatever info you can pass along.

My recommendation for 15mm Boers is Tin Soldier. I find the Irregular Miniatures Boers a bit big/bulky.

"a bit big/bulky." The Boers are farmers and ranchers so would not be lacking at the diner table.

Cheers,

Have you seen contempary photos of your average Boer? They look pretty lean, hungry, tanned and weather-beaten to me.

Minifigs do a reasonable range of Boers, though some of the poses are a little bit stiff. link

You can see pictures of the rest of the figures in the pdf of the old catalogue that is available on the Minifigs site: PDF link

Also, if you want some variation I reckon in 15mm you could get away with using ACW Confederates in sack coats and slouch hats (you might want to snip the bayonets off)

To follow up on dwight's note about Old Glory 15s, Old Glory 15s has four packs that include Dismounted Boers, Mounted Boers, Boer Artillery & Mounted Generals, and Dismounted Horses & Holders.

Thanks for the information. Gives me someplace to start from.

Similarly, Peter Pig AWI and ACW miniatures are in many cases very useable. Catch being they are PP sized, so small.

I have found that several companies make Confederate 15mm figures that work great for Boers and will give you many different options.

Peter Pig is a great line of miniatures. The Brits are fantastic and as for Boars look to the Confederates and Cowboys…

I've used some Boers for Western Yanks/late war Iron Brigade.
