Some of you may be curious to see collected pictures of models that won the main awards (Slayer Swords) at Golden Demon contests in 2011. Thanks for the link. A few bits stood out for me: The amount of detail in each piece is more than I could cope with.
The shock in the comment "looks like it would be used on a tabletop" now THAT'S an odd idea for a figure!
Lack of skulls on some models – nice to see
The use of lighter colours on the buildings – much better than the dark walls of old |

Andrew, you mentioned the comment which shocked you. Well, yeah, I think it was at least a bit exaggerated, but bear in mind that it comes from a very good painter whose expectations may be much higher than ours :) |
