Probably because of the scale I game in, I don't have that many figures representing the highest rank. My burgeoning Bronze Age armies boast a pharaoh. I have several Napoleons (12 at one stage. I thought of having a cavalry regiment using them but thought it might be a little too much). Other periods have various generals but no one very notable. And a swarm of lesser ranks suffice in my WW2 collection that probably doesn't have any higher than major or lieutenant-colonel. Which famous, high-ranking figures do you have?

Xyston Miniatures does a nice Marcus Antonius on foot for 25mm. I have him, but haven't got round to painting him yet. He will probably sit in a drawer until I take the plunge with Later Republicans. I also have their Leonidas and Pericles, both of which I did paint. |

I have an old Essex 28mm Arthur Wellesley on horse back. He's in army uniform so I assume he's not a duke yet. I also have Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef (the Ill Buono,Ill Brutto,Ill Cattivo set from Artizan). Do they count as "highest rank"? :D |

I've got some roman generals and their enemies like Spartacus, the Dalek Emperor and Galactic President Beeblebrox are also quite important, but Cthulhu has been my favorite to paint. |
