Osprey/Ambush Alley's Force on Force includes a TO&E for modern French forces.

Do you have French in your modern forces?

Black Cavalier07 Feb 2012 9:01 p.m. PST

I have some Dadi & Piombo French, but I'm using them as part of the UNIT troops for Dr Who.

Space Ghost07 Feb 2012 9:04 p.m. PST

Just picked up some from Eureka and Dadi & Piombo's (they match well in size) – great miniatures!

Had some when I was doing 6mm stuff for Cold War, but not now as I have moved to 3mm and they are not available yet.

"When they do get into battles, they fight it out," observed U.S. Army Capt. Dave Disi, who has been on more than 35 missions with the French military.

I have Legion Etranger for action in Yerbouti, if that counts.

GeoffQRF08 Feb 2012 6:24 a.m. PST

Do you want our 15mm modern French in berets or caps? (They are currently in helmets)

jdpintex08 Feb 2012 7:12 a.m. PST

Fair amount of French Foreign Legion and equipment for AK47.

Cosmic Reset08 Feb 2012 7:39 a.m. PST

Absolutely, first modern force that I painted up.

paulkit08 Feb 2012 8:14 a.m. PST

Geoff, berets and caps would both be worth the effort.

Altius08 Feb 2012 8:29 a.m. PST

Eureka FFL in both helmets and berets with a AMX10RC for support (from Quarter Kit). No VABs as of yet.

Also have a decent sized French Union force for Indochina in 15mm, if that counts as Modern.

i have a french foriegn legion and army infantry both in 20mm.
as a supplier of modern 20mm we sell a lot of french vehicles and infantry, it has been a very worth while range of models.

Redroom08 Feb 2012 4:09 p.m. PST

I have Peterpig FFL, would like to get some eureka FFL too.

mckrok Supporting Member of TMP08 Feb 2012 6:23 p.m. PST

Yep, primarily 6mm FFL. I was painting VLRAs and VBLs last week. I like the variety of units and equipment. The French are deployed across the world, so you can work them into a lot of scenarios: from Cold War tank smashes to African intervention to peacekeeping in the Balkans, etc….

I've worked with members of the French military on a number of occasions and have nothing but good things to say about them.

Etranger08 Feb 2012 7:44 p.m. PST

Lots of 15mm French for Indochina, if something that happened 60 years ago counts as modern……

Chuckaroobob08 Feb 2012 9:36 p.m. PST

I have a bunch in 15mm, troops and vehicles, mostly QRF.
Have about 50-100 in 25mm, mostly Eureka and D&P. Only vehicles are 4 VBL's.
