Irregular Miniatures is one of those small producers of figures that have literally been servicing the hobby for decades and I am always pleased when I can say something in their support.

Irregular produces a large selection of ranges in 15mm and indeed produces a number of interesting figures not produced elsewhere. The quality of their sculpting and casting does vary and imo ranges from passable to excellent. Regardless, they do seem to paint up better than one might expect.

Anyway, I've recently plunged into moderns after reading Ambush Alley's Force on Force and determined to build forces for Somalia '93, Iraq 2003 and Afghanistan 2005-06 and wanted the broadest variety of figures that I could acquire.

I ordered a bunch of Irregular's Taliban on Sunday January 29 and they arrived in Edmonton, Alberta today. That is amazing service. Thank you Ian et al. Better yet, the Taliban look very nice and will mix very well with Flashpoint's Taliban and are just a little smaller than OG's African militia (don't have any OG Taliban) but not noticably so. Although the range is not huge, each of the figures offered does come with variations in head dress, facial hair etc. Anyway, a very nice range of figures for Afghanistan with just a little easily removed flash.

As seems to be his habit, Ian also sent a few free sample figures from his line of modern Russians. Again the figures are nicely sculpted and cast.

So, if you're looking to refight the Russian occupation or more recent events in Afghanistan be sure to give this range a look. Ian and family have been and continue to be great supporters of our hobby.

Thanks for the info on the figures. I, too, have always been impressed with Irregular's business and have a heap of their 6mm stuff and a few of their 15mm's. They also put out some good rules sets that have given me some great games over the years.
