"How sick do you have to be before you stop to paint" Topic

So I got the flu, it's in the early stages, but I got an unmistakable flu headache I get before it breaks out, so I expect tomorrow will not a be a good day,

And I doubt I can paint tomorrow.

So the question is how sick do you have to be before you stop to paint,

1. Headache?
2. Sore throut
3, Fever
4. Rapedly spreading Necrotizing fasciitis
5. Mad cow disease
6. Ebola
7. Adromeda strain
8. Rampading nano bots
9. massive genetic mutation following nuklear blast
10. Alien egg in you stomach about to burst through your chest.

7 and 10 for sure

3, Fever

Vertigo, blurry vision, light sensitivity, random consciousness loss, and/or sufficiently achey joints that sitting hunched under a lamp will cause pain are enough to stop me.

When I take one of the miniatures and throw it across the room, it's time to stop painting as I'm too sick.

I can stop painting while quite healthy. I do it all the time.

I find 6 slows me down a little.

So does good weather, free wine, Argentinian tourists.

Once you decide that you just don't feel up to it, no matter how much you want to. I just got back from there with a sinus infection.

When I put my back out I couldn't paint…granted I could barely move and was taking so many drugs I was spaced out to.

My guess would be projectile vomiting….. not good for the final coat…….

I was sick most of January. I actually painted more as I was working half days. It really didn't slow my painting down.

Well if number 10 happens to me, maybe the alien will help me to paint my figures.

It's a hobby for me, not work, so I only paint when I feel like painting instead of doing something else. I guess that puts me at a 1. Yes, I am pathetic!

Dizzy: it's hard to paint properly if everything is spinning.

I get migranes and they pretty much put me out of commission. A bad cold with all teh associated aches and pains will do it to.

Loss of a limb would slow me down a bit

Headache… as it will be eyestrain. If it's the flu I'm usually not capable of sitting upright enough to paint.

2+ and I am reading, surfing the web or sleeping. 4+ I am at the hospital.

Nothing too fancy. A simple headache does a nice excuse for me to avoid painting.

STD?

1, I can't concentrate with a headache.

I once painted while I had pneumonia.I couldnt lie down anyway.

Right now, the thought that I could be sick in a week might get me to not paint.

I only paint when I am 100%.

Is 9 even possible for a miniatures painter? With all the metal figures – even if they were not made of lead – you'd think they would have kept the radiation dosage below mutation level.

When I get the shakes and cannot see .

If I can paint though of my hang overs, I can paint through anything.

If my nose is dripping on to the figure I stop.

I'm with buff, if my nose is dripping then I call it a day, unless I'm painting something like terrain.

Sleep when you're dead! There is no illness or condition known to humankind I have not painted/gamed through.

Since I work for The Man, you need to define Illness better, as I just worked on 50 Old Glory US Regulars for the War of 1812.

Illness, it's not just physical…
